Madeleine (((Korbel)))-Albright.

Albright was a monster.
But ironically, people will see her stupidity, but criticize Obama for lifting Cuba sanctions and praise Trump for wanting to reinstate them.
At the end of the day though, none of them are the "evil" indivduals. They may be stupid, but I think your view is problematic because the truly evil individuals are the leaders of those countries themselves. And if those imposing sanctions, and considering casualties an unfortunate cost are evil, then what does that make the leaders? And what does evil mean, if we can't differentiate them?

Madeleine (((Korbel)))-Albright.
At times I think it's meant to he insulting, but the more I think about it, that doesn't make sense because all it's doing is pointing out that a person belongs to a small group that is currently known, even if stereotyped, as a highly intelligent, successful, wealthy, and educated group.
So what exactly is this purpose?

A guy on a Louisiana message board calling Madeleine Albright(or anyone for that matter) naive and ignorant....wow! I mean Louisiana has such a good track record with being informed and making good choices.
Please enlighten has all your years of living in Sorrento or somewhere like it has made you so much more informed and intelligent than someone who holds a PhD from Columbia, teaches at Georgetown and served as Secretary of State? We won't consider how she lived part of her childhood in exile due to Nazis for this discussion. I really cant wait for your response.

Despite her history, and despite her education, this woman rationalized the deaths of half a million children in an attempt to effectuate regime change in Iraq, a mere decade after we provided arms and money to Saddam Hussein to twice invade Iran. I don't give a damn about her schooling and I don't give a damn about her childhood, because they obviously weren't enough to keep her from making a series of monstrous decisions that led to the deaths of hundreds of thousands of the most innocent, for no other reason than serving the American Empire. May she rot in hell.

quote:First of all, those figures seem highly disputed to this day, and frankly they don't seem reasonable anyways. That was less than 6 years of sanctions, and despite being under a murderous dictator, the sanctions themselves were resulting in the deaths of 100,000 children per year? And although there was a war in that time, the population grew at similar rates in the decade from 87 to 97 as the decades before. And the sanctions began even before she was in any position of power.

So her response was terrible, but I think directly and exclusively blaming her, or anybody that was not dictator in charge, for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of children because of a (albeit misguided) sanctions (as opposed to direct intervention) is a bit exteme.

The answer you're looking for is political appointee

Sandy Berger.
I'll never forget that Picture of the Clinton Cabinet standing behind the POTUS as he spoke that infamous (lie) and topped it off with the "now I need to get back to work for the American People"...and the Cabinet was then asked if they believed Him (His Statement re Lewinsky). I swear that if Curly, Larry and Moe had been standing back there and running the Show...I'd have felt better than Albright et al.
Don't forget, it was Albright that gave China a ton of our Military high tech; for Clinton political donations of course. She believed that it was not a good thing for the US "to be the only Superpower". So does Obama/Hillary/Progs.
There are not "naïve and ignorant"...they are delusional. "Behold, I will send them great delusion that they will believe a lie" (Good Book/Latter Time Prophecy). Further..."there is a way that seemeth right unto man, but the end thereof is destruction".
Fascinating. As long as the pain don't become unbearable.
