Try to pay attention here, arithmetic shouldn't be difficult:

Losses:
1. Arizona
2. Oregon
3. UCLA
4. Notre Dame
5. Georgia Tech
6. Washington St
7. Arizona State

Wins:
1. Arizona State
2. Hawaii
3. Boston College
4. Utah State

No, but once again, very specific

Well? Coach O did it. Coach O is the only interim coach to take over two P5 teams who had fired their HC's and had a winning record, got the teams back into the national rankings and to bowl games.

Is that too specific ???

All in all, Curley was pretty fricking close to some of the things you mentioned

I didn't realized Curley was a head coach of a P5 college program since his time at LSU. Please elaborate on how Curley "was pretty fricking close to some of the things (I) mentioned"?

Sometimes, what a coach shows on the field amounts to a hell of a lot more that what he says in press conferences

You mean like taking over a program that was 16-10 in its previous 26 games and going 10-25? Or one that was 11-8 in its previous 19 SEC games and going 3-21 in the SEC? Or maybe getting only 1 quality win in 16 games as an interim HC.

You like periods, huh? Maybe you should start counting them. Then when someone posts a teams record you can actually look at it and agree.

Coach O took over two P5 college football teams who had fired their coaches for underperforming. While running those programs he has winning records, national rankings and bowl appearances/wins. That's coaching.

That's it? My whole post and this is what you respond to?

I guess a person is right and nothing can be argued when another poster picks some shite about Curley Hallman to post.

And how many other coaches have taken over 2 different programs a quarter of the way thru the season?

Curly Hallman has better wins as a head coach than Coach O

Curleys best wins by final year ranking:

#3 FSU
#14 Bama

I don't know, try Google.

How many coaches have taken over 2 P5 programs that fired their coaches and lead them to national rankings, winning records and bowl games?

Answer: ONE and he is the HC of LSU.

If we go 10-2 that'll be great. If we managed to beat Bama while doing so but drop Florida and Tennessee instead, we win the west possibly

Yes, but only if Bama also drops another SEC game.

I have no desire to argue about anything Curley Hallman. Maybe someone on the Southern Miss board will bite.

Oh, I'll go ahead and do your disclaimer for you.

"I hate Coach O".
"I hate that he is the HC of LSU".
"BUT, I hope he wins every game and is very successful at LSU".

If we have the good year USA Today predicts, Orgeron will finally pass Curley Hallman's career SEC winning %.

I'm wasn't asking for information purposes, my guess was 1, which makes all your points about the only coach to do such and such meaningless propaganda.

On the coaching changes board, someone did research on IHC's and their success rate. It wasn't good. A coach becomes an IHC because the team just fired the guy who was head coach. Coach O should have got the USC job for what he did there.

What he has done is not meaningless propaganda - it is fact. Did he not do at USC what I said he did? Did he not do at LSU what I said he did?

Considering there were idiots on this board who wanted to hire Lane Kiffin as the LSU HC (the coach who was ranked #1 in the nation and wound up unranked in 2012 and went 4-7 his last 11 before being fired on an airport tarmac) it is definitely a positive for Coach O.

Could that be because most midseason firings are because the teams are horrible. Neither USC or especially LSU were bad football teams. USC had more talent than anyone they played. And LSU the same except for Bama.

Forgive me if i dont jump for joy over beating a bunch of shitty teams with our top 5 talent. I dont care what the previous coach had done with that same talent. (they were fired, stop using them as the measuring stick of success)
