Is "letting yourself go" a legit reason for divorce?

Given our vows and commitments, when one allows themselves to become unattractive because they are taking the spouse for granted, isn't that unfaithfulness to your spouse?
At that point, the out of shape spouse has said "you should love me no matter what so screw you and give me more cake"
As a man, I explained this to my woman early on and, initially, she was offended. Overtime, as she's thought about it, she gets it. But it's not something girl's being raised as Disney princesses want to admit.
Same goes for guys.
And I get casual weight gain, gains after kids etc. I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about ONE spouse truly letting themselves go while the other spouse goes out of their way to stay attractive in the relationship.

How much are you talking about? 40 pounds on your wife? No. 100 or more? Maybe.

Yes. A person that lets themselves go look wise isn't a trust worthy person.

She told me it was because of your erectile dysfunction

Weigh-in every Monday evening. Fail to make weight for a month and it's time to get her an apartment.

That's the kicker. How much is too much and when should the other person have the right to call them out without reprisal?

Plenty here will say yes, but IMO the answer is no. If you don't want a spouse that does that, pay attention to how they feel about fitness and health in general. It's pretty easy to see who will fall victim to this IMO.
My wife had a baby 10 months ago and weighs les than she did the day we got married. She's a keeper. (No pics, Pecker

Divorce is absolutely terrible. If you have kids it's inexcusable. Adultery, abuse, maybe. But if you divorce your spouse brcause you don't like the way they look anymore you're a bad person and a disgrace to America it is that simple.

Once a woman's belly starts to sag over the belt or it protrudes out farther than their breasts, you should be able to call them out without reprisal.

yes and no
Has she just put weight on, or has she just turned into a fat, lazy slob?
big difference in ur wife gaining a lot of weight but still pulling her own at home. Copared to one who becomes a Peg Bundy with an extra 200lbs on her.

I totally get that. It's harder to stay in shape after 30. Fact.
I ask this more as a cultural/religious question. I've seen people condemn the actions of others while stuffing their face with poison but when that attitude carries over into the marraige, no one bats an eye.

Within reason, yes. We all age differently and most people do put on some weight. That being said, if an individual gets to unhealthy levels and refuses to change, how is that fair to the partner?

So you're ok with your spouse willfully destroying your sex life because of their lack of self control and commitment to your needs?
Wait. You said adultery was bad right?

I think so
A spouse(man or woman) who lets themselves go does so because of a lack of fear - a lack of fear that their spouse will leave them.

The obese statistics in America are insane. If you're a fat parent, you're part of the problem. I one hundred percent believe there is a level of fatness for kids that should be considered child abuse.

What kind of women are you involved with to where 40 pounds is a drop in the bucket?

In sickness and in health
You clowns need to take your vows seriously

Guy was before a judge seeking a divorce had he said that when he got married his wife weighed 100 lbs. Now she weighs 250. He said now judge the way I see it there is 150 lbs of woman that I am not legally married to.
