I am taking a 5-day vacation to destin next week and I am staying on the bayside. I am considering bringing my boat which is a dual console inboard/outboard. Any reasons I should or shouldn't?? I really want to put my boat in blue/green water!!

Does your hotel accommodate your boat and trailer?
Do you have a working radio?

I've done it a few times. Kind of a PITA in mobile with all the traffic, but aside from that no issues. To solve the storage issue, you can get a transient slip for $50 or so a day, or do like I do and put it in a grocery store parking lot with a for sale sign and a pad lock.

Bringing Vrs Taking
The essential difference between these two words is that bring implies movement towards someone or something: Bring your instrument with you when you come over. Whereas take implies movement away from someone or something or something: Take your belongings with you when you're leaving.

I brought mine last summer. I wasn't prepared for the storage issue. We rented a house in a little gated community... First thing the bama fan "overseer" points out to me is the sign that says No Boats, Trailers, etc.
Ended up being a big PIA for me. Fished a little in the bay, caught some trash fish.
My only issue was storage, so make sure you got that covered, and I don't see why not. The surf was pretty damn rough, but I'm sure youre used to that stuff more than I am.

How else you going to get to Crab Island man? Bring the boat and rent a slip.
