As it stands, Roddick only has 1 major, and is not in the talks of truly great American tennis players like Connors and Mac

However, Roddick was the clear number 2, and suffered the following losses to the games all time GOAT in grand slams :

Australian- Semi loss, semmi-loss

Wimby- Semis loss, Finals loss, finals loss, finals loss

Us open- Finals loss, quarter final loss

So conservatively, without Fed, Roddick would be looking at this for a career:

3 wimby titles

2 Us open titles

1 Australian title

That would have in as an all time great. That is tough to be born with the GOAT like that

If he were on their level, he would have won some of those.

Speculation. Presumably, there would have been another living, breathing competitor.

Roddick is married to Brooklyn Decker.

He wins.

I think the rest of the competition argues against Roddick more than the Federer losses.

The field just sucked.

I haven't looked at the H2H, but like Roddick, I bet Hewitt would have about three more without Fed.

As you guys have said, Fed without Nadal would be so ridic. Probably like 22 majors, although I bet he'd be retired by now since Rafa wouldn't have pushed him.

Let's not forget how many Djokovic has peeled off from Fed and Nadal. He has had a huge impact on the history of the game.

But, we could do this stuff all day. Courier is maybe in the Becker/Edberg/Lendl/Connors/Mac/Wilander tier without Sampras. Chang probably has three or four majors without Sampras. Agassi is probably top five all time without Sampras.

As someone who was always wanting him to take the next step, these were incredibility frustrating.

I'm no tennis expert but aware that Fed is one of the few that still utilizes a one-hand backhand. I heard it mentioned at Wimbledon that Roddick used to go into matches against Fed with a wide lead in aces for the tourney but then get out-aced by Fed in their match.

Lochte would be the best American swimmer if it was not for Phelps.

Les without Jarret Lee.

If Lee doesn't throw a bunch of interceptions for TDs, Les doesn't hate the passing game.
