I want robertson, anzalone, and klein out there. If Anthony can make the jump that'd be great, generally being stupid isn't something you can fix though. Just read mindbreaker's posts

It's the first day of camp. The positions these lbs played today mean absolutely nothing

This is the truth. There is not a single LB on this roster that is penciled in as a starter at any position.

All of them will be tried at vairous positions for at least 2 weeks until the best 3 are found and we will roll with those.

Screw it. I'll take Nolan and a bunch of plugs over Vitt and our past faceless men. Let's sort out the system, then focus on talent and coaching them up.

Sure lets contact the front office that get paid to evaluate and watch players everyday because a dude on a message board says these are the best players.

Not getting on the field his second year was a huge disappointment.
I think the problem was coaching more than him!
How many players did we waist on defense the last several years.

Those are the best players....if those guys are starting by week 8 (may take anzalone time) will you bend the knee to the lord of Saints Talk?

Robertson played well starting last year. Klein signed to start at MLB. Anzalone is the new Ellerbe (hopefully healthy). Anthony is a bust (get over it). Bend the knee when it's time. You're an idiot if you think who they put on the field first day of training camp means anything at all. All your favorite frickbois in charge of "evaluating" talent has nothing to do with the day 1 training camp linebacker rotation.

So you are saying he doesnt make the team? 2 good days in a row from this guy. Once the pads come on we will see what he is made of. I believe coaching will make a tremendous difference in his game. He is more athletic than most of the LBs on this roster. Analzone hasnt even been mentioned once yet. Only Klein, Teo and Anthony and Robertson. Im pulling for Analzone as much as anyone but there is no way Im writing off Anthony yet. 100+ tackles as a rookie tells me he is more than just a bust. Nolan will show us who the starters are.

He's more athletic than every LB on this roster.

Yep. Vitt was told who to start. Nolan is going to tell the DC & CSP who the 3 best guys are. Kind of a welcomed relief considering that CSP is all offense & Dennis Allen is defensive back coach. It will be nice if we actually have a D-Line & LB coach that know what they're doing.

Anthony finished his rookie season with 112 tackles, one sack, one interception, two forced fumbles, and 2 TDs.

Does that sound like a bust? Are you really this dumb?

Problem is Ryan was the DC his rookie year and knew how to use him to his strengths. Then Allen took over and basically said this is how I do it and if you can't get it you don't play.

Allen is a lot more akin to a guy like Spags who has a system you have ti follow, as opposed to guys like GW and Ryan who find ways to use guys to their strengths.

But Anthony did get a shot near the end of last year when Robertson was hurt and he was picking things up more and he played pretty well that game.

My guess is they want someone else calling the plays and adjustments and Will is a good spot where Anthony can make plays without needing to call shots. Sam takes away a lot of the things he does well and puts him is a spot not suited to his strengths.

He was the signal caller for the worst pass defense in NFL history. That's more relevant than his tackles he's a MLB. They rack up tackles. He was bad enough to be benched his entire sophomore year. Put two and two together my friend. Just bc he looked big black and athletic does not mean he had a good rookie season at all

So the defense was the worst because of Anthony? Come on man. Those stats look like a dominant MLB. Jeff Ireland was a scout here when Anthony was drafted. The guy didnt forget how to play football. I dont fully trust Dennis Allen yet either.
