Can we lay a diversity map on top of those?

Are you saying the % minority populations are significantly different? I'd argue otherwise

For the most part Lincoln and Omaha are good. Just stay out of North Omaha and North Lincoln.

People move when they retire.

5% of sf bay influx is from nyc/long island. Those people are getting high paid techo jobs.

20% of out of state students at murray in western ky are from nyc/long island, nj. They are consistently rated top 3 masters college in south.
Less expensive.
UK is rated #11 nursing school in usa. Similar out of state interest.

So, between old retirees, people moving to cheaper education, and high tech opportunities, there are lots of people moving, every year, 30 years.

I worked for a week in North Omaha and it was a little seedy but it's nothing close to parts of NBR.

ya man those red southern states which have been leaching off the economies of the NE for decades are certainly thriving

just lol

I'm talking about things like setting laws governing how big of a drink we can buy at the gas station, outrageous taxation, gun control, a thriving SJW culture. The things prog politicians are known for pushing and accomplishing in places like the northeast and west coach. Figured smart rocket31 would know that.

Honestly sometimes I think the constant flow of immigrants into NYC is the only thing from keeping it from a population decline.

I am not sure the Jeff Sessions branch of "small govt conservatism" has much to say about big govt and prog policies.

A nice mid sized city free of culture and trailer trash seems ideal.

Knoxville, TN is about as close to that as you are going to find in the South. It's the only mid sized city in this region that I know of that is by and large free of "cultcha" issues. There's definitely some trailer park trash, but there's a lot more "normal" areas than not. Outside of Chattanooga, Appalachia is about as white of an area as you are going to find in the South East.

I also prefer mid sized cities and Knoxville is on my list when the culcha drives me out of here eventually. The family and I were up there last year and will be again for the LSU game

It's a great place to raise a family. Approaching 900k in the metro and climbing.
