Pensacola Beer / Food Options

Trucking over to Pensacola with the family for a long weekend. Staying at Portofino.
Are there any can't-miss beer store options? I have seen Richey's East recommended on this board, but I generally understand that pickings are slim in the area. True? Also, I have sampled a few from Pensacola Bay Brewery - was not particularly impressed. Any other worthwhile breweries?
Finally, any essential restaurants?
TIA for any intel.

Gulfcoast Brewing is like 2 miles from Pensacola Bay.... They also have Goat Lips Chew and Brewhouse, and A Little Madness Brewing... never been to the last two.
Tons of Bottle shops in the area as well
Publix, Bambooze, Richeys, Paradise Liquors, and Aloha

Island Wine & Liquor is on the island and has a great beer selection.

If you are talking about on the island, I highly recommend The Grand Marlin for higher end dining and Peg Leg Pete's for casual.

Peg Leg Pete's for seafood. Jackson's for steaks. Ruby Slipper for breakfast. McGuire's for anything.
Hopjacks has probably the biggest beer selection in Pensacola. Make sure you have the duck fat fries with their crack sauce.
Old Hickory Whiskey Bar is better if you don't like beer.

Hemingway's
I like Hemingway's too, but I think the quality for the price point has gone down the last few years. Grand Marlin is just a little more expensive, but has always been top notch on our visits.

I'm a big fan on Flounders.

Not a local... but maybe someone will remark on.
Lunch - New place NOLA's next to Hemingway's (left side) nice po-boys, a whole is about 12" and better than average, gumbo was solid, as was red-beans n'rice.
Dinner - best place we went was Fish House back in old part of town.

The restaurant at Portofino (inside one) is actually pretty good if you want to stay in but not cook.
Grand Marlin has the best food in that area. For something more laid back I like Peg Leg Petes. If you have kids, Red Fish Blue Fish has a grassy area with tables in the back and games like cornhole and giant jenga. It's right on the bay so the views are nice, but the food is nothing special.
My favorite place is Global Grill but it's downtown. IRON is also supposed to be great.
ETA: I haven't been as excited about it lately, but for a beer bar hopjacks has an extensive list and offers half off all drafts on Sundays. We usually hit up Hopjacks in the early afternoon and get seafood from Joe Pattis for later.

Ditto on the Grand Marlin. Go there every time I go. Never been disappointed.
