Are the x-22's really that outdated? That what I game. Looks like they came out around 2009, so around 8 years old. Have irons changed that much in 8 years?

Yes and no. Weight is still transferred as much as possible to the outer portions of the head, but now tungsten is used heavily (get it??). Lofts are jacked as well to increase distance on a 7 iron which is basically the old 6. So really, just some extra forgiveness with the newer clubs. Nothing crazy.

I'm still playing my Taylor Made RAC OS's circa 2006. I believe they are the 2005 line, bought them in the spring.
