Fla's current coach is more embarrassing than Freeze.

By that logic, why not just keep Miles? He was a proven winner and kept our program pretty clean and free of major scandals,

Exactly. I mean the guy humped a dead shark.

Miles did it the right way, kept things rolling until he started coasting. He was ready to retire, he just didn't... and that has left us still with a solid program to look forward to each fall.
We'll see what Orgeron does with it. I sometimes wonder how clean he is, and wonder if he's in over his head here.

LSU players and espn singing his praises to recruits is what made sabin !

Miles would have been the legend had Saban not come back to the SEC West.
How many NC's would we have won by now?

quote:At the time Saban left, nobody would have thought he was going to return to college football with his tail basically between his legs. I thought Miami would have won a Super Bowl or 2 by now. And had he stayed in the NFL, Miles almost certainly would have won at least 1 more title, and possibly more.

Regarding Saban, I think his sobering experience in Miami has aided him at Alabama- he knows now that he doesn't want to move again. He didn't have that here. He also could have won another title, but I think if he didn't leave when he did, he still leaves shortly afterwards.

Ole Miss is going to be a mess for a few seasons. Bad for the SEC and our Division.

It's so unfortunate how everything worked out with Saban leaving LSU and then returning to the SEC 2 years later to resurrect Bama's dynasty. Who would have known?

Getting Torina in the end over Murphy turned out to be the best thing for lsu softball

this is hearsay and guesstimation. there are no guarantees. remember our crappy offense went 7 straight 3 and outs in the SECCG. if not for ST and D that game turns out different. the score was misleading. UGA had no depth. however, With them fresh how we won pounding the ball is and was mind boggling. we had no passing game. We may have given up more points to a different team than bama in the natty with a high powered passing game. nobody knows. our o still could have struggled. the warning sign were there. but les went full steam ahead with his crap gameplan.

True, but in almost everyones's opinion, LSu wouldve beaten OKla St in 2011 and they wouldve skullfricked Notre Dame in 2012. Notre Dame couldnt have beaten the 5 best teams in the SEC that year and wouldve had their hands full with 6-6 Ole Miss.

LSU vs. Okie St. in 2011 would've played out a lot like most of the season did but mostly just like the West Virginia game. Relatively close game at half then the LSU offense just pulled away. That team was so talented and deep they just wore teams out not named Alabama. That offense doesn't get the credit it deserved because of the last game but it was the perfect offense to compliment that ridiculously good defense. Wear the other team out and just don't turn the ball over.
