Was that the rain delay game? Some fellow posters here were the ones that ran out and jumped in the mud

Nah Oregon State was the rain delay.

OP makes a strong case. The field storming games and streakers of 2000 were the true harbingers of the golden age.

I member! I don't recall it being a streaker though. Someone jumped on the field, ran around, and mooned the Bama fans.

Whatever happened. Bama had just scored. Had all the momentum and the booty dude or dudes gave a break in action and levity.

That game also had the horrible muffed punt where the refs used the jumbo tron even though they weren't supposed to to reverse a call that would have pretty much gave LSU a loss.

Dubose griped about it afterwards like a little girl. This was before replay.

Maybe it's because i was 10-11 years old but those 2000 and 2001 home games were the most fun experiences overall in Death Valley and it will never be that way again. Can't beat the years where the sleeping giant rolled out of bed.

I was there and definitely think it had an impact. I was dying when it happened. One of my fondest memories as an LSU student.

Those were the days the stadium would be full for a ulm game throughout. Miss those times.

That's the accurate account. Or for some reason I remember it being he mooned the bama huddle. Maybe that was when they stood and watched the replay camera?

Back to my previous assertion that LSU football was more fun before TAF and national titles.

They mooned the Bama bench.

And got the crowd back into the game.

Yes!!! I was there! Bama was driving the ball and was on our 20 yard line in the third quarter. The stadium was quiet and nobody was cheering until the streaker came out and ran around the bama huddle and then mooned them. The crowd got into it and the place erupted. The defense held and we got the momentum back and the rest is history. I don't know what fine that nudist with the Davey Crockett hat had to pay, but it was worth it on that night. I will take that memory to my grave. Nudy boy was our savior on that night.

It was really fun in TS when you had to try to do your best as a fan to help the team win. Now TS has too many bandwagon/lazy/uninterested/leave early people populating the seats(until halftime) and they don't have to do shite.

Getting a big win in the 90s and early 00s made you feel proud like part of the team.

and i was 20 years older than you then and i completely agree. those two seasons were pioneering years. 2000 to 2007 was the most fun ever in TS. but yea, 2000, 2001, and 2003 were the best of the best. hands down.

07 was great.

So great that even after Arky won that game, I turned to my friend and said, "Now that was an awesome game."

I wasn't even upset. The air in that OT was electrifying. Still the greatest version of "Neck" ever played in Tiger Stadium.

I was sitting in the end zone that they ran toward and did the deed. Funny as all hell

i was figured our natty chances were done. Shoulda been undefeated that year but anyway...one of my few beefs with pellini. we were up 7 in OT.

arky has 4th and goal. We shoulda blitzed casey fricking dick. if they score so what it is only tied. if we stop them we win the game. pellini does not blitz and danny "can't cover a child with a blanket" mccray again had a brain fart and blew the coverage.

TD arky and we went on to lose.
