So the best coach in SEC west was Tuberville and CEO still couldn't win vs those lackluster coaches.

Are you calling Saban lackluster?

You calling McElwain lackluster? The guy who has been in the SEC two years and owns two SEC East titles? The guy who has lost a total of 5 SEC games in two years with 2 coming against Bama and 1 against LSU?

To bag on coaches wasn't the point of this thread it asked a simple question with an obvious answer.

There is no obvious answer. Coach O built this staff that may be the best in the country. It is his and his alone to take credit for. The other guy was let go because he couldn't or wouldn't do it.

This is sports, history doesn't dictate the future and the future can not be predicted.

So u rather have Miles that wouldn't let Matt Canada coach and we will have the same high school offense i'll take Coach O over Miles anyday he won off talent period couldn't succeed nowhere like he did here he lucked up and got hired at a school that recruits against itself the state has top talent every year he wouldn't succeed anywhere else smarter AD's know thats why he's still job less lol

Dave Aranda could be given as much blame for that loss as Coach O. He didn't have his defensive back focused, motivated, or explain what he was supposed to do on a play and gave up a 98 yard touchdown pass.

Miles got the blame for Wisconsin and Auburn.

Thought it was only fair to give the other head coach the blame for the other two losses.

Not by rant logic though.

Then bet that,CEO will be a better coach than Miles.

So far no takers.

If this was something that could be settled in a month or two I would take that bet in a heatbeat, ONE HEARTBEAT. But, better than a 114-34 record and NFL players over 10 or 12 years is a little too much time, hell WAY too much time to pass for me to accept a bet over that stuff.

I know. It's an ignorant bet. The verdict could be up in the air for possibly 12 years. A real rocket scientist to think up that bet.

can you imagine the shite we would be giving another program if they hired our dline coach as a head coach?
Hell we gave A&M shite for hiring Chavis

Most are saying they would rather have CEO ate talking out their asses.

1) he is cajun
2) they hate Miles
3) history says the opposite of what most are saying.

I tell you to get back to me in 2029 on the 114-34 record and NFL players over 10-12 years AND this is your response???

If you are implying that any or all of your ridiculous 3 items apply to me or have been mentioned in this thread then good luck on your next thread, because you have totally lost it in this one.

I'm not Cajun
I really like Miles

False. As i posted yesterday and you skimmed over...

No coach in the history of college football record keeping (1921), has a coach started his HC career with a record as bad as O's, and then went on to win an NC at ANY point in the future.

Like, it's never happened. Not one time. Zero. It would be a historic accomplishment if O wins an NC at LSU.

You dont have a flippin clue what mistake O will make.

The poster is probably giving O more credit for doing it than Les. That is probably because O already had to fix four or five of Les' problems that he had freeloading on his staff.

Yall are some trusting mofos

After what Coach O did at USC and the changes he has made at LSU with the staff and atmosphere, WHY SHOULDN'T ANYBODY BE A TRUSTING MOFO? What have you seen that makes you miserable about the future of LSU football? Let me know I want to have catastrophe syndrome also. Ha Ha Ha

quote:

Just believe whatever the man tells you

What man? Coach O? The guy who hired the only Broyles Award candidate on offense as his offensive coordinator?

The guy who fired Cam Cameron, Bradley Dale Peveto, Dameyune Craig and Jabar Juluke?

The guy who hired Canada, Pete Jenkins, Tommie Robinson, Mickey Joseph and promoted Dennis Johnson (Meatball)?

THAT MAN? I go more by actions I see and less by what people say, so you are probably talking about someone else. I just don't know who.

quote:

even if he said that so he could get a $2M a year pay raise

Even if ???? You aren't making shite up also, are you?

Yeah, I'm not Cajun either, north Louisiana. Also was a huge miles supporter up until last few years and give him credit where credit is due. Again, you are dealing with kids. It is all about appearance. The kids wanted a big name. The ironic thing is I wanted no part of Fisher or Herman. These kids don't grasp the concept that people can and do improve through trial and error, experience, personal failures, etc. I honestly believe O is a totally different coach than when he was at Ole Miss. He learned a lot from his mistakes, plus worked under some pretty good coaches. I'm guessing he gained a little from each. I hope he kicks arse. However, all these haters, I have a list, need to keep their mouths shut when Lsu does well. A real fan dies not go out and shite all over a new head coach daily, then throw out a disclaimer that they hope they are wrong. Nothing wrong with saying I'm skeptical..but will give him a fair chance....as opposed to outright shitting on him.

Good god your grammar. Btw, many great people have failed at first and went on to do great things. I'd be wasting my time listing those out though, I can see you have the iq of a middle school kid. I'm not even sure you can read this reply.

You do enjoy making shite up don't you?

I'm already at home and until I go to Sonic in a while, I'm not going anywhere. It's you that has catastrophe syndrome and are depressed about the future even though you have no idea what the future holds.

Sure you do. Good one man, almost had me convinced, ha.

That hurts my feelings

But since you ignored the context of my post to resort to grammar attacks, I'll restate it.

No college football coach has ever started off as bad as coach O and gone on to win an NC. Sure it's possible, but the odds are greatly against it.

Sorry kid

So WTF??? Most every is not every. Were you trying to make a point one way or the other?

I'm sure that what Coach O did at USC and LSU was taken into consideration. That along with his plans for the future of the LSU program was enough to validate the hire. I posted his plans and the changes above but can do it again if need be.

that dumbass just joined. I checked his post history this morning and at the time 15 of his 29 posts were unprovoked personal attacks. he clearly doesn't know enough about football to actually contribute anything to an actual discussion
