Thanks for admitting you will be voting for a democrat. I appreciate the honesty.
You should already just go and register with them.

That Reagan picture is only there because his wife fancied him

Worrying about tomorrow at the expense of today is a cuck/elitist argument and the reason we are where we are today.

I'm gonna take the contrarian view and say that the Filibuster is actually a good thing. The Senate is not meant to be a simple majority body of government. Some of you need to take a civics lesson.
What the American people continue to vote for is gridlock. Maybe we should listen to what they are saying? Healthcare was never suppose to be passed by one party it's 15% of GDP and the Democrats were wrong to shove the ACA down our throats. Still, the Republicans need to realize the tide is against them on HC. Cost cutting and savings mean nothing to people that just want to be covered.

It's time for McConnel to GTFO.

While I agree it will happen when the Dems are in charge again, it will do nothing for Obama care (other than clear the way for a complete repeal)

Might want to think twice about that. The next Democratic President and Dem Senate could put a nominee left of Thurgood Marshall on the SC. Add the House and they could get Medicare for all.
Replace all of your coulds with will because that's the environment now.
Frankly. I'm ok with no filibuster ever again. If democrats win all 3 branches, that's the way the cookie crumbles

Do you really want to have to live with the regret of nuking the filibuster when dems use it to bring us single payer?
Make no mistake. There is STRONG sentiment against the filibuster on the left.
Republicans have meaningfully used it for the time.

That filibuster rule is the soul of the senate and is what has protected this country from truly radical ideas being legislated into reality and single payer is one of those.
For sure this /\
However - it is almost certain that with the radical ideology driving the left wing radicals, if they ever take control again the 'soul of the senate' will be road kill on their way to enacting whatever social justice, virtue signaling, utopia seeking, logically dysfunctional brain fart arises in their fevered brains.
These two diametrically ideas have me stranded in the middle of the road with the log truck bearing down on me. I don't know which way to jump.
My brain tells me to accept the latter reality, while my heart is fully devoted to the former.

Over thinking it
The filibuster isnt really all that important as its made out to be
We have 2 chambers, an executive and a judiciary
Thats PLENTY of checks. If America fills that with democrats, that's the way the cookie crumbles

What's to stop the Dems from doing this even if the Reps don't?
Their own experience. They know Reid screwed up. They won't give the GOP another gift like that.

What makes you think he isn't a full fledged DEM in the first place?

The Republicans have used the filibuster for the last time. Everyone knows it

I don't disagree - but I think that just admits that the nation we founded has been taken from us already. We are no longer a nation with the moral fabric that guided us for the first 200 years. We have slowly morphed into a nation of wimps needing to be coddled with nothing expected from them individually other than more exotic grievances.
Maybe this is why God doesn't allow people to live forever - I'd kill myself rather than live in a society governed by the radical left wing ideology being strutted on the streets today - and if they ever obtain power, it will only deteriorate to a place I cannot even imagine.
No thanks.

The fact that talking incessantly is a valid tactic for defeating a bill tells you everything you need to know about our system of government.
