Also Times Grill off Causeway and 22 makes a good burger, cold beer, lots of TVs, bar area and restaurant.

Stay out of the national chain restaurants for God's sake. Plenty of small, local places.

Mugshots in Covington.

There's a place I can't remember the name of located in the Madisonville boat club on 22 at the Tchefuncte.

Old Rail Brewery in Mandeville is a good place to hang.

Yeah, I would not recommend the Covington Chimes at all. It's not the same as Chimes in Baton Rouge.

Think The Bulldog in Lafayette.

Yeah... one of the divisions in Guste Island

Very familiar with the area. Family had a townhouse in Port Louis for years, and family lived in the townhouses at the front of the street for years. Be careful speeding through Madisonville, cops will pull you over with the quickness.

Might be the first time I've seen anyone say the food is shite. It certainly isn't fine dining, but I've never had anything bad there.

Yeah it's great if you love food from Sysco and gumbo/etouffee from a bag.

That said, lunch/dinner specials usually way to go there. Those are the few things they serve that aren't delivered frozen from sysco or precooked somewhere off location at a mass kitchen.

Sammy's, Mike Andersons, Chimes, and most local BR fall victim to buying tons of precooked or serving offsite prepared food. It's good for the bottom line but is the reason why there aren't very many "great" restaurants in BR.

It sure as hell isnt worth the wait. I like the Columbia Street Taproom in Covington. Busters Place is solid as is well. Just my .02.

There's always people here who shite on Sammy's and Chimes religiously. They're the type of person who hates anything everyone else likes.

Madison Farms subdivision. Unfortunately having a tough time selling it.

What's the gig? That place usually sells on the quick. I almost bought on a pond back there but instead bought in Covington. I liked Madison Farms though. Good luck.

Cool place. Know a couple people in there. Will probably look in there the next year or so if we move from tangi. Should be a cool place to live. Nice pool, big field.

Had it priced a little high and now missed the 8 week "fresh on the market" rush. Had some offers that came in a lot low and didn't work with them like I should have. It has a really nice outdoor kitchen area. Not trying to solicit on here, but one of ya'll baws buy this mother trucker!!

Moved to Madisonville last year and was disappointed in the options from what I had in Nola so I upgraded my patio and that's where all my family and friends out here watch the games now. I suggest doing the same

I watch all of that at home but, I went to the Riverside Bar in Madisonville to watch some non-Saints NFL games years ago and it was solid. If it's a Saints game, I'm either in the Dome or in my living room drinking my booze and eating my food when they're on the road.

Yeah the 8 NFL Saints opponents can't hold a candle to Chattanooga, Syracuse, Troy, Auburn, Arkansas and A&M. How much money are fools forking over to watch that dogshit in Baton Rouge? College football is a joke in that sense. You're paying for 3 decent games.

Chimes in Covington is mediocre at best. It's packed because most people don't care about mediocrity.
