Mr. Balls has one...I think he uses it...he can't tell us, except perhaps telepathically...he's still in time out.

They're nice if you remember to use it. I hardly use mine because out of sight, out of mind. Wanna buy mine?

What's the difference between an instapot and a regular slow cooker?

Same story here. I'd like to use it, but I forget.

It has a saute feature, so you can brown the food in the same pot which makes for a better sauce. It does what a crock pot does in ~30 minutes. The crock pot is awesome, but you can't last minute decide to make a crock pot meal after work.

Red beans take about 30 minutes to cook. I was skeptical the flavor wouldnt be as good with a quick cook but it is. I also use it to make steel cut oats in minutes vs. the overnight method with a regular pot. And I use it as a rice maker even though I have another rice maker. The instapot has a nice SS pot and my rice maker has aluminum.

Hopefully they're decent, just ordered one. If nothing else i'll use it frequently as a rice maker.

It's supposed to be a safer version of a pressure cooker.
I have to store mine in a hard to get to cabinet so I don't use it as often as I'd like. When we redo our pantry in a few months I'll have a wall for appliances and other storage and I plan to use it a lot more.
I made a delicious Kalua pork in no time flat. I forget what else I made but I've used it a few times.
I know people who use theirs almost every day and love them.

Instapot only gets to 11 psig. Normal pressure cookers get to 15 psig and steam cook at a higher temperature. I use my normal pressure cooker a lot with great results but it requires more attention than an instapot, which is automatic (but the volume is limited).

Sous Vide for 3 days is better.
