There's a Roma cafe Italian eatery that's good. It's in the antique alley area in the old cotton seed mill building.
Strip clubs? hahahah None here.
Avoid the mall if possible. Hoodlum hangout.
Make sure you go there during the day. Night time is not a good idea. The bus service runs till 10 or 11 pm from the southside; you can imagine what that ends up causing.

Chennault is a terrible golf course ?? You might be able to play at Frenchmen's Bend in Sterlington. They used to let non-members play

I did get the driving range pass deal at Chennault, course looks horrible but I can at least hit some balls.
Chennault is a nice course - up keep is city run and very hit and miss. Been 15 years since I was there.
Too bad they shut down Selman was great for 9 after work

Man, you aren't lying about this. I remember going to golf clinics there in junior high and high school. Nice little par 3 course. I can't remember why the city closed it, but what a shame.

it's not anything special. Frenchmens bend is better, imo.
Chennault doesn't keep up with roughes well and it can be a pain to find balls right off the fairway. I use to regularly play 9 here after work in the summers
Black Bear is the best course in the area. It's a good 30 minutes from the mall.

Enoch's is all right.
Pickle Barrel is good for a casual bite and they have a decent beer selection.
Rawz has good, and different, sushi.

I think straight up money deal
had a great range, and the course was short and fun.
I use to walk that or front 9 at Chennault once or twice a week when I was living there. The good old days sans living in Monroe lol

Sage
Genusa's
Mohawk Tavern
Cotton
Ernesto's (if it is still open)
Origial Johnny's Pizza on DeSiard
For entertainment, not much. Golf at Chennault or if you know someone at the BDCC, have at it. Forsythe has boat docks (beware of the congregation of child molesters who lurk about within). They also have sand volleyball.
The mall area? I would avoid. Skecthy to say the least.
For night life? Enoch's is great. Live music and good burgers and great beer selection.

I've heard good things about this park. I have random days off during the week and plan to check it out, but then I forget about it. I don't know a lot of people so I'm not sure what I'm going to do at a park by myself, without a dog or anything. I do have a fishing pole and a bad arse place to fish but that's all the way in Delhi. Still will probably go catch a mess of bass on Wednesday of this week if the weather stays clear. Hot as a son of a bitch though.

This sounds like some quality entertainment. Maybe me and the OP can meet up and kick some child molesting arse in our free time. Rid the world of filth and kill some time.

Solid suggestions here. I'll add mine.
Avoid Ernesto's. That used to be good, but they've gone downhill.
Restaurants to hit up - Warehouse, Cotton, and Waterfront. Mohawk is ok. Quality has dropped a bit.
Bars. Enoch's definitely. But if you want the best Long Island Ice Tea ever, hit up the Airport Lounge. It's not in the airport anymore, but off of Louisville and 3rd. Anyone who's ever been there will tell you this.

Flying Tiger brewery is worth your time!

Iron cactus out in Calhoun, which is run by a past manager of Ernesto's, is pretty much the same as Ernesto's and is worth the trip if you have time to kill
