Play at Calvert crossing in Calhoun. Really nice course and a lot of trees so it's great in the middle of summer. Don't waste your time going out to black bear. Used to be really nice but they haven't kept it up for shite recently. Greens are dead, dry, and sandy. Like others said Enoch's is pretty good. My cousin plays music there weekly pretty much. Pickle barrel has the best burger imo. Really not a lot to do around here at all. And when you go to Calvert talk to Don if he's in the pro shop. Nice guy and if you tell him you're from out of town and looking for places to play he will probably hook you up with a couple cheap rounds.

And not saying you are, but if you do drive drunk, don't drive down fricking Louisville

Haven't seen it mentioned, but Trapp's on the river in West Monroe is a good place for a cold beer and good food.

If you're just going to the range, then Frenchmen's Bend is closer to you. If you want to get in a round then call Calvert and they will likely let you play on a weekday. Calvert in good shape and it is a challenging course.

Do you have a passion for meth and shitty radio stations? If so, you may have just found your Mecca.

If you're into sushi head west over to Ruston and get you some Raw. I make sure to go every time I'm in the area.

Been here for 4 years. Enoch's down Louisville is cool. Field house down 165 near ULM is good for bar type food. Waterfront is legit. I've heard good things about sq's on the ouachita downtown. Flying tiger brewery and brass monkey are decent. If you like outdoors type stuff black bayou is a really nice place to walk/fish. I like restoration park off 20 in west Monroe a lot as well.

Go to Big Daddy's in Bastrop baw. Knuckle check required at the door, 3 scars or less and you can't enter. If you don't have a knife the door man will give you one. You're welcome.

Golf:

Black Bear - played 2 weeks ago - course is fine, sans fairway bunkers
Frenchman's - course is as good as it gets right now - using temp clubhouse for now
Calvert - good shape - nice course

Food:

No real sports bars - maybe try Fieldhouse
Genussa's for Italian - has bar area as well
Does - nice bar and good steaks
Trios - good bar - ok food - nice scenery
Enoch's - decent food and drink
Pickle Barrel - ok beer selection
Flying Tiger - have not been yet
SQs - overrated but nice view
Trapp's - good view on balcony
Cotton - unless you have a high end date - meh

It is humid and muggy AF outside right now

How does a "Monroe - what's there to do?" thread even reach 2 pages?

This is the best advice in the thread. Monroe PD is out looking for this shite like I've never seen anywhere else.

Trios is pretty good. At least it used to be.

As far as strip clubs, go to the long Branch saloon in mound,LA.
