Tonight I am reminded why I hate watching 1.5 mile races. Horrendous, spread out, no passing, just plain boring.

Well, late race caution. If it were a debris caution, I'd call it a conspiracy.

Yep, and one of the biggest problems for a lot of the 1.5 mile tracks is that there is only 1 grove maybe 2. Can't pass when no other part of the track is productive.

It's amazing how much less debris there is now with stage racing.

It's a joke that NASCAR basically admitted they were throwing BS cautions for the last decade or so just to bunch them up. Now with a built in cautions they no longer get to do it. Although at fuel mileage tracks they still do it.

True on the single groove.

I will give a tip of the cap to NASCAR for trying to get bigger grooves with the tire monster and the addition of the VHT.

When I hear Cole Peard, I think of Perd Hapley from Parks and Rec.

That 78 was a rocket, even on old tars.

Keselowski had this to say tonight, and I agree with him. Someone needed to say it.

Do what people have said for years about IndyCar and NASCAR: lower the downforce, and use tires that wear out.

Make the drivers manage the tars like at Rockingham and Darlington back in the day. A young hotshoe would take off but wear them out, while a Mark Martin type would take the tortoise approach and ease by the kid at the end of the run.

I don't agree with him.

He and many of the other older drivers who have been used to the massive downforce are struggling.

The Penske cars are struggling since Richmond when Logano got busted with his encumbered win.

He didn't have problems at Kentucky last year when this race package was run for the first time and he won the race. They are struggling and he is blaming someone other than himself. It is just like Kyle Busch blaming Goodyear for bad tires when he is the only one to blow a tire and wreck.

No one was catching that 78. He was hauling the mail on the restart

Agreed. Truex Jr is sure positioning himself to make a strong championship run.
