I think where he got drafted is worth more and more relevant than the hiesman.

But that is just me.

He kept saying before the commit that family wanted him to go to LSU, but that he was real grateful to coach Mora and coach Foster whoever he is for recognizing his talents first and felt he was letting them down. So, imo he should go back to UCLA if that's where he wants to be, I don't get hung up on these young kids because they are too indecisive at that age. Justin Watkins has changed his mind about 4 times already, but they're too many RB's out there that are hungry that will take Carter's place.

AJ is very grateful to Coach Orgeron and LSU, he appreciates them seeing his talent and offering him. It meant a lot to him.Its just Coach Foster from UCLA did a wonderful job recruiting him getting him to UCLA. Coach Foster got on him while he was at Texas tech and continued when he made the move to UCLA. He saw the talent early and jumped on him before anyone knew who he was. He has always told AJ everyone would come call and they did.
AJ just couldn't walk away from Coach Foster UCLA and the new incoming players that has built a great relationship with.

Coach Orgeron is an unbelievable recruiter and he is going to do good things at LSU, don't doubt it. LSU is going to grab another great RB and I wish them well. Relax!

Lol if anyone makes a future decision off a message board

Even a possible young kid

Highly highly highly unlikely

Has nothing to do with the rant. Y'all value your opinions a bit too much.

He's simply a conflicted young man. For other possible reasons.. such as his actual life and family.

The media, fans too but not as much as media, have made recruiting an absolute shite show.. I don't blame the individuals in the media, gotta pay the bills, but media itself..just blows these things so far out of proportion sometimes, I mean shite bruh, it's ridiculous.

You mean SOCIAL media? This was a self inflicted wound "bruh". The kid committed, decommitted and recommitted on twitter. He did a good enough job owning it and doesn't need you blaming the mythical "media".

Order of blame goes:
-NCAA for allowing schools to make unlimited offers and not regulating the process
-Schools for making unlimited offer and continuing to recruit kids after committing
-Fans for showering attention to 17-18 year old kids on social media
-Kids families for not having a more grounded influence on how these kids handle their biz

Guice didn't play that much in HS and no one would of thought he'd be this good. The only superstar RB we've gotten of late is LF7.

This is a stupid comment. We knew Guice would be good. I mean there's got to be a shite ton of posts for you to look up on this. The fact that he wasn't the #1 overall RB recruit that year still doesn't make sense. Getting a top 5 RB (like he was) means that we were getting a perceived elite back based on ranking alone.

I think people forget that recruits read what is written....

This is so stupid

He's not completely wrong. Sonny and Shea have repeated MANY times they hear about recruits talking about what is said on here and other boards. All folks respond differently to feedback/criticism but it really is sickening when someone commits to us that the coaches wanted and then the bashing starts on them. They are 17/18 year old kids trying to live a dream and some on here because they are only a Top 750 recruit in the country and not a Top 250 recruit in the country will shite on them.

It's a problem, and some dont know how to handle themselves.

How true. Nobody can get by on an education from LSU. What the hell is Leonard Fournette going to do after his 4-year, $27.15 million fully guaranteed contract expires.

If I remember correctly, Guice was just on the cusp of getting a 5th star. In fact, again going off memory, it was somewhat the general opinion that he decommitted, or just to see if they would give him a 5th star.

Maybe decommitted isn't the right word. He "opened up his recruitment" and took 4 of his 5 visits.

On Carter... if he went back to UCLA to honor his original commitment, sucks for us but can't really fault a kid for that.

Highly unlikely he makes the NFL so college degree is important. No real advantage to either school in that department so it depends on where he'll live after graduation.
Kid is not a program changer no matter where he goes, so who cares. Real question is how/why he got this much attention in the first place.

All you've done on here and 247 is talk shite about the coaching staff and the other RBs that LSU is recruiting. You kept promoting AJ, and when he finally got his offer he backed out after a week.

Maybe you should stop bashing and teach AJ the meaning of commitment.

Uh, yes they do. They were worse on offense. Haven't been good for years and Richt got fired.

This is true. His last year (2015) was pretty bad, probably his worst offensive year at UGA, and didn't really improve the year after he left.

Total Off rank (LSU in parentheses for comparison):
2016: 87 (59)
2015: 83 (39)
2014: 30 (80)
2013: 17 (35, record setting)
2012: 22 (87)
2011: 39 (86)

So can at least say under Richt UGA was consistently in top 40 in total offense.

*yes, just randomly decided to stop at 2011
