Which position is probably the most stacked in MLB (excluding starting pitcher)
NL 1B where you have Votto, Zimmerman, Goldschimdt, Bour, Reynolds, Rizzo, Belt, Thames, and Myers
NL 3B with Turner, Rendon, Shaw, Lamb, Arendo, Nunez, Bryant, and Gyorko
NL RF with Harper, Stanton, Peralta, Puig, Bruce, Altherr, and Schelber
AL RF with Judge, Garcia, Reddick, Betts, Souza, and Kepler
AL SS with Correa, Bogaerts, Andrus, Lindor, Gregorius, and Simmons
AL 2B with Altuve, Castro, Pedroia, Schoop, Cano, Dozier, Kipnis, Ordor, and Kinsler

3B is by far the most stacked position. Bryant and Donaldson are incredible. Machado's fantastic even though he's having a really down season offensively. Turner is one of the most underrated players in baseball. Arenado is one of the best two-way players in baseball. Adrian Beltre's still going strong after 20 seasons. Anthony Rendon, Miguel Sano and Jose Ramirez and Mike Moustakas are all terrific offensive players. There's also Kyle Seager who's a great player that never gets his due to the insane depth at the position and the fact that he plays up in Seattle. 3B is closest thing baseball has to the PG position in the NBA.

Tend to agree.
And you didn't even mention Jake Lamb, only 1 RBI behind Goldschmidt for the MLB lead, and Travis Shaw who is having a sneaky all-star caliber season.

3rd is just ridiculous right now. Hell Rendon is hitting .300 with 16 HRs and 51 RBI.

Didn't include him because he is currently injured but he would be in that group as well

Plus they are moving Freeman to 3B... going to get ever more stacked over there.

Yes, Adams will be at first and Freeman at third when he returns

Yes. He played 3B in his last rehab start so that they can get him and Matt Adams in the lineup together.
ETA: I don't think they want Sam Freeman over at the hot corner, but you never know...

Yeah, Freddie Freeman may move to third so they can keep Matt Adams bat in the lineup.
There are nine NL third baseman with 2 or more WAR. A cutoff of 2 WAR is fairly arbitrary, but no other position comes close to 9.

Even if Freeman does go to third(still a chance Adams is dealt) he is still the the Braves 1st baseman long term.
I think the Braves should try to trade Adams to the Yankees. It's a perfect fit and the Yankees are said to be in the market for a 1B.

Didn't Girardi just say that they don't know if he will be back this year?

Im not sure how I feel about Freddie at third, but who knows. Adams does need to stay in the lineup though.

SS is crazy too if you consider how young the position is with it's stars. There's Seager, Lindor, Correa, just to name a few that are young 20's and already stars. I also love that SS is moving back to playing a significant offensive role.

Never know since a day earlier Cashman was making those comments. We will see but a lot of what I've read they expect him to return a week or two after the break.
