Had mine on a Friday at a local surgery center(docs rec). Saturday we were in Shreveport at the Boardwalk and I felt fine but that night they were sore. Ice pack and jock strap helps.

Gotta admit my first time with the wife after I was nervous as hell! Wasn't sure if it would hurt but it didn't. Haven't quite made the recommended 3 months to get my numbers checked for leftover swimmers.

Don't settle for just local anaesthetic. Demand Valium or alike before they do anything. If you don't demand it, they don't do it. I really don't remember anything about the procedure as I was whacked out. Recovery was easy, just do what they say and stay at home with ice. Everything works as expected shortly afterwards.

Did it with no issues. Got snipped on a Friday morning went home put frozen peas on the nits and woke up on Saturday to play 18 holes of golf. was pain free.

I knew there would need to be a "test" after healing was finished to ensure that the swimmers were absent, but I was under the impression that I'd be invited to perform at some idyllic spank bank at the doctor's office. Lounge chairs, lamp lighting, Toto on the stereo, selections in print and video. No such luck. They gave me a vial to fill at home, which I then needed to hand to the woman at the check-in desk at the doctor's office. "Here ya go." Very disappointing.

Wife: What's the cup for?

Me: That's what you're going to spit in.

I've heard that they give only a local and that it feels like you're kicked in the nuts during the procedure.

Sounds horrifying.

Pain wasn't too bad. Just don't push it. If the doc says take x number of days until you do something add a few more just to be safe. It's not worth pushing it. Sex life is way better. Would definitely do it again. Not having to worry about another youngster is a huge weight off the shoulders.

I've made some bad decisions over the last 51 years but getting vasectomy wasn't one of them. Been almost 20 years for me, get it done.

How old were y'all when you got it done?

I'm 31. Two kids, 24 months and 7 months. I want to but my wife thinks we are a little young to "permanently" end it. But she's beginning to come around.

31 with 3 boys. I was done and ready for fun.

Not having to worry about knocking up the old lady is a powerful feeling.

Worse decision I made in my life!!! I got the bad one!! I wouldn't recommend this even though 90% have no problems. There are still risks to this surgery!!!

Mine was a piece of cake.

Had it done early on a Friday morning. Meds had me in another world until Sunday morning, but I was ok.
Went back to work on Monday.

It takes about 2 weeks for everything to get back to normal, but it was 100% worth it.

Don't move around much. Wear a protective cup. Ice down. For about two weeks, it will basically feel like someone kicked you in the balls.

Got it done at 37. Kids are 12, 7, and 4
