Small ball prevails and that's a disadvantage for LSU - need some level swinging singles to get back into the game - obviously with a 2 run deficit, it will be harder to catch up with the HR ball less likely. We can do this, though! Come on, guys! Make the adjustments - let's crawl back into this thing!

Plus, good coaching matters too.

I hope you realize that the wind blowing in or out does not change the way a player swings

No - sloppy defense and good hitting - they are obviously seeing Poche pretty well which doesn't surprise me since they've played well against him in previous outings. Gonna be tough to get back into it but 2 runs is very doable - if Poche can get a couple of quick 123 innings maybe the worm turns and our offense gets into some rhythm.

So I guess our guys go up there "trying to hit home runs"?

Lsu cant bunt to save its life and that can be said for every team under CPM. We swing for the fence with no abandon though.

Been one, maybe two, fly balls tonight that would have been out earlier in the CWS. Paps definitely swinging for the fences.

You're due back at the Saints board, pronto. Go away.

Go watch some Ichiro highlights and tell me there is not different ways to swing a bat. There is a much different approach when you are trying lift the ball vs hit it sharply on the ground or on a line.

Upgrade, whether their swing changes or not, at least acknowledge that it's to LSU's disadvantage for the HR ball to be less in play.

Sure. I will acknowledge homeruns will be much fewer with the wind blowing in. That in no way means we are trying to hit home runs.
