Altuve doing the double in impatient failure to start the game.

Did y'all know Pettis is a horrible 3rd base coach?
Posted on 6/27/17 at 7:59 pm to Jwho77
When did he become a conservative coach is my question. I missed the transition but it's definitely present.

He has been conservative this season except for the horrible send of Springer on Sunday Night Baseball against Boston. I assume it's an edict from Hinch since we have such a good lineup.

I know many complain of the aggressive nature last year, but I'm all for it. Rather be pissed he tried than not trying at all.

There's a middle ground and reading each situation. It's the big leagues, so it's an important job that requires intelligence and preparation. Pettis has been less than ideal.

I disagree.
He's been sending players home with good results, just look at this past Sunday's game.
I like a third base coach who is super-agressive. This isn't your father's Astros with slow arse Morgan Ensberg and Adam Everett running the base paths. You've got Springer, Altuve, Marisnick, etc., dudes with wheels who can score from second if you give them the opportunity.

Terrible pitch to swing on 3-0 down in the zone. Garbage. I don't trust gattis enough for a green light in that situation.
Posted on 6/27/17 at 8:57 pm to Tiger Ryno
Why the frick did Gattis swing at a 3-0 pitch low in the zone with the bases loaded and nobody out? Even though that brought the run in, but that was bad.

Gattis was retarded there
Posted on 6/27/17 at 8:57 pm to Tiger Ryno
Complete garbage. How on Earth do you take that approach 3-0?
If you have a brain, you say "it has to be belt high or I'm not swinging."
That was, as you said, complete garbage by Gattis.

There is NO way anyone gets a green light 3-0 down 1-0 in a game you have 7 hits and 3 walks w NO runs.
That's all on Hinch there.

Can't believe hunch trusts him in that situation to give a green
Posted on 6/27/17 at 9:00 pm to wahoocs
Hinch is a big green light guy 3-0. But that stupidity by Gattis should cost him future green lights.
Posted on 6/27/17 at 9:00 pm to Tiger Ryno
Just lost this game in that ab.

Gattis is Gattis
Hinch has to manage that
