Is there any doubt that it is Dan Marino or do you think there is another candidate out there like Fran Tarkenton?

Dan the Man WITHOUT QUESTION, though possibly Dan Fouts and Warren Moon could make solid cases too but they never advanced to the Super Bowl. Fran could constitute an argument as well bc IIRC he retired as the all-time leading passer and led the Vikes to 3 SB appearances.

Agreed, although my uncle who is around 70 will argue you up and down that its Archie. God I hate that argument.

He might have a stronger argument with Bert Jones haha he was an NFL MVP and actually led teams to the playoffs

He's a Saints homer through and through. Still love that man though.
He'll also argue that Otto Grahm is the greatest QB to ever play. Again, he's old and has a love affair with nostalgia

He could be argued to be the GOAT just on talent alone.
Hell, you go overseas where they don't care about winning a Super Bowl as a reflection on you and most consider Marino the best QB ever. I was in London and they assumed we thought Marino was the best ever.

I would put Kelly 2nd behind Marino

The premise of your question is incorrect because QBs don't win SBs.

That spot is reserved for Cam. Everyone else playing for 2nd.

Dan Marion's stats in that era are amazing.
