Him not swinging at those last two pitches shocked me... I was shocked.

You weren't the only one. As soon as I saw where that first one was headed, I cringed. He flinched but stayed off it and then took the next one too. I was very pleasantly surprised.

Why start this thread at 11:30 the day after a game?
Look, he's not the best hitter on the team. He may be the worst hitter in the line up. This may be all true.
However, he does have a purpose on this team and does it well. He isn't the most athletic, or the most talented player, but he does the little things as good or better than anybody else.
He dropped down a perfectly placed bunt on the safety squeeze. I would have more confidence in him than almost anybody else in the line up to get that done. He has placed balls perfectly in the vacated spot of the second baseman on hit and runs numerous times. He's better than anyone else at doing this. When he lays off the curve ball he can put together some decent at bats.
Only LSU fans can be among the final 4 remaining teams and still find ways to shite on coaches and players on this team. Its pretty pathetic.

Who's shitting on him? It was a good at bat and he deserves the praise. That one pitch is his kryptonite. If he can learn to lay off it, he'll become that much better as a hitter.

You go from saying he may be the worst hitter on the team, to he serves his purpose well. You realize he's the DH, right? His only purpose is to hit, and even you don't think he's good at it.

Beau is developing a good eye and I like the sign of cross he makes in the box.

First time over ever seen Beau not swing at a pitch that started and ended in the opposite batters box
Posted on 6/22/17 at 1:24 pm to saturncube21
never seen anything like that in my life awesome

He's been called out on this board a number of times throughout the season.
I'd love to see the stats from those who continuously call him out. At one point through the Miss. St. series, his BA/RISP was around .341. Now, I admit the weaknesses of the BA stat, and I'm not claiming that Beau is Ted Williams reincarnated, but the pathetic whining from a lot of people on this board about Beau is just that . . . pathetic.

I know, right. This is the second thread in which you've embarrassed yourself. Some people evidently have a higher threshold for that than others. I hope it serves you well in life.

Yes he has and a good bit of it was unjustified. But that's not happening in this thread. So again I ask, who's shitting on him in this thread?

What I said was that he was not the best hitter on the team. You twisted that and said I called him the worst hitter on the team.

We had an entire season to find a better option and we haven't found one. Romero swings at just as many bad pitches and can't do the other little things as well as. Wooley has been given opportunities and didnt take the spot. Reid has barely played all season, so obviously the coaches see a reason for him not to DH. Coomes is the only option, but I'm guessing CPM is saving him if a spot comes up where Slaughter is at bat and he was needed the pinch hit (although that approach may be history after last night).

You can't ask it "again", because this is the first time that you've specified that you were referring solely to this thread.
