volatile does not mean what you thought when you typed that.

Or if Oklahoma State could take care of fricking ISU. That LSU team would have crushed them too and added to their already all time great résumé. It's a shame the title game destruction is all any one remembers about that great team and season.

This is the part I'll never get over. If not for the tragic plain crash that afflicted their athletic department, Oklahoma State would've taken care of business that night. It is also worth mentioning that their bus broke down and they got to the stadium 30 minutes before kickoff. Plus Oklahoma State most likely wins in regulation if the refs get the FG call right, and it tooked a tipped Weeden interception for Iowa State to win in 2OT. On top of all of this, Oklahoma State was favored by 28 and had a 17-point lead. It took a once-in-a-lifetime series of pregame events to create the once-in-a-lifetime series of plays during the game, enabling the team we beat in the once-in-a-lifetime Game of the Century to get a second chance at beating our once-in-a-lifetime team, destroying our program's momentum.

I will hate Iowa State forever.

LSU ran for 2,800 yds in 2011, 200 rush yards per game, as close to unstoppable as a run game could get.

In 1995 Nebraska averaged over 400 yards rushing per game, and over 600 total yards per game.

Average score was 53-14; won every game by at least 2 TDs. Four teams they played were in the Top 10.

They all lost in the big one but we're arguably the best teams not only that year but of all time in their sports.

Does not winning the title make them less great?

Yes.

Maybe if they lost 21-20 instead of 21-0 there'd be an argument.

As a Bama fan, I agree, it would. But they didn't pass the 50 until 85-90% of the game had been played.

Probably, but with an asterisk.

Or any team in the tournament.

It is unfair to the other players. They did nothing wrong.
