It's really that simple. I don't think lsu is as bad as they played last night and I don't think OSU is as good as they played last night. It was just a perfect storm.

A lot things happened for OSU and against LSU.

1)KRob drilled a lead off hit up the middle only to hit the pitchers leg. Normally he's on first zero out.

2) OSU got two hits, one a double, and three runs off of hitting the ball into the ground only to bounce over the 1st base and short stop head. normally, those balls are outs.

3)Greg D. and Duplantis drilled balls that normally drop but OSU was able to get to them. Great plays by them.

4)K rob makes the play at short 99% of the time, cost three runs

5) Peterson bobble with bases loaded cost a run and double play. That was a routine play that is made most of the time.

6) wild pitches and 12 walks (uncharacteristic of this team)

7) walker injury

OSU was and is the better team. They are 55-4 for a reason. And, they don't have their best pitcher. They deserve the win. However, if you look at the game objectively, LSU played one of their worst games and OSU played one of their best. They aren't as far apart as people are claiming. LSU normally doesn't beat themselves, last night they did.

Lsu makes their living off good pitching and defense. Two things they were horrible at last night.

We walked 12 batters last night. We wouldn't have beaten anyone with that many free base runners.

Early on, we were hitting the ball hard and OSU's pitcher gave us some good pitches to hit that we just didn't get a barrel on or hit it in a hole.

We played about as bad as we can and OSU got a couple of breaks in the game too.

We are WAY better than we showed last night. Last night was an anomaly and we should all be aware of that.

We'll be better Wednesday night.

Nah, OSU beat LSU. Even without mistakes, OSU is the better team. We needed LSU to play flawless baseball and OSU to commit a series of errors in order to have a shot at beating OSU. The opposite happened and the blowout ensued.

Another point, OSU's line up sees the ball better than any line up of hitters I've seen in a long time. They are rarely fooled at the plate.

I will also add that OSU pitcher was NOT dominate. He left plenty of pitches over the plate LSU players either didn't hit them, fouled off, or popped up. Sometimes you can tip your hat to the pitcher and just say he was dominate today I just don't think this was the case last night.

I know this is a no brainer but LSU needs better AB's if they want to have a chance to come back and get to NC series.

Failure to get lead off bunt out

Walker out

Kramer error

Peterson error

Watson missing cutoff

Deichman not getting to ball quick enough

Kramer error

Oh, and scoring one run

No particular order.

Bottom line, OSU is very well coached, and LSU is coached by Paul Mainieri. LSU has CWS talent year end and year out, but not CWS winning coaching. Nice guy, love him to death, but LSU really lacks baseball fundamentals and that catches up to them at the highest level.

we did play poorly. But Oregon State just destroyed us. Even at 3-0 in the 4th it felt like 10-0.

We had them right where we wanted them but like
Stoneybrook and Coastal Carolina they were clearly
the better team. Hell, they even spotted us their
starting pervert and kicked our arse. Props to O.S.U.
They are who we thought they were. At least some of us.
That being said, this is baseball. It aint over till its over.

They turned an error on what should have been out # 3 into a 12 run domination. Before that the game was dead even.

They are so good because they make you pay for shite like that and don't sit in cruise control.

Honestly, without Kramers error I felt like we were getting ready to tee off on that pitcher. But you can't let them have anything, especially routine outs. When they smell blood in the water it's over.

They are not the most talented team in Omaha, but they have a mental edge over everyone they play. Very impressive.

That's a real good point. I've watched about 45-50 of our games this season and that's been the biggest difference between our team this year and last year - even the kids at the bottom of the order are working counts, having productive at bats. That and I'd say we're much more athletic from top to bottom than years past.

anyhow..we've all been there with the next day hangover. bright side is there's still potentially plenty of baseball left to play - so good luck vs FSU on Wednesday.

No it is plain and simple what happened. We walked 12 people and had shitty ABs. But glad the win streak is done now the focus shouldn't be the win streak it should be the natty

The better team won, and it was painfully obvious to watch.

This is how batters respond to a dominate pitcher. Last night was painful to watch but OSU was just better...great AB's, good defense and that guy was pitching lights out. It is what it is.

OSU played their best ball? Really??

That is a statement you make about a 4 seed regional team with 30 loses that somehow made it to Omaha. It is not a statement you make about the #1 team in the country with only 4 losses all season.

OSU played like they have all season. They didn't come out of nowhere and play their best ball against LSU
