Not saying he did it but what do you think is fair for murdering 2 girls with a railroad nail?

Strom Thurman 'fessed up to raping the maid, but there's no proof he was also a serial killer.

I have a hard time with the fact that it was decided after 10 minutes of jury deliberation and a 1 day trial. No way that boy got a fair trial and that should offend every American.

Non retarded or not mentally ill adult? Put 'em down.
Child? Institutionalize, treat, and then re-evaluate when/if rehabilitated. I think 14 is pretty young to be executed.
The a-hole who shotgunned the father and son on Clifford St was only 17 when he did it, so he's not eligible for the needle. His idiot girlfriend was 18, so she is (although I don't think it's being pursued). That was about as heinous of a crime as you'll ever see. I'd be okay with that guy getting the death penalty. If he were only 14, I'm not so sure I'd feel the same way.

This may be taken the wrong way, but i hope he was guilty of murdering those girls if thats what happened to him. Otherwise if he didn't do it, it's horrible.

If the 14 year old commits a heinous crime and the evidence is 100% true and unimpeachable, yes.
I knew the difference between right and wrong, plus the consequences of crimes at the age of 14.

There is also no evidence that he did not commit those murders. None.
Any hard facts on the case are gone forever. Liberal politics is what most people will go by here.
I know it happened 73 years ago and times have changed, but does it strike you as rather unusual that a murder trial would only last a day and the jury only deliberated 10 minutes?
Maybe there were 3 or 4 unimpeachable eye witnesses who testified against the boy. Maybe it took the jury longer to select a foreman than it did to deliberate the charges. Maybe justice was fairly served. But considering where and when this happened, it seems rather suspect to me.

If he did it, then all is good.
If not, bad karma ensue.

Yeah, the 10 minute deliberation was because it was an open and shut case.

They did, but it is considered racist to state facts.

how sad, you can't bring yourself to admit that one black got a raw deal during the Jim Crow era.
