Shea just put in a crystal ball for Andres Fox DE from Mobile, AL

Shea never really puts a crystal ball in for a guy unless he's really certain of a commitment. This kid is a 3 star, but a talent you can't pass up on in my opinion even though we're loaded at his position. Obviously, the biggest looming negative is we have so many long lean Buck type DE/LB's that we don't know what to do with...If we secure signatures from Adam Anderson, Jarell Cherry, & Andres Fox...that would give us a group for next year that consists of Andre Anthony, Sci Martin, Ray Thornton, Ike Washington, plus the 3 I just mentioned. Wish we would push for more NT's & OT's since we are already so deep at BUCK/OLB, but I'm not complaining because all these guys are so talented & all have star potential

I'm curious if they are thinking about getting more than 2 of these guys on the field in certain packages, maybe putting 3 to all 4 on the field at one time or if Aranda is just trying to get the best two out there so he's beefing up the competition. We do need more true 3/4 DEs or DTs another NT as well.

This goes to show you what LSU can do when they get a player like Key to showcase that position. Just need to show out at other positions for recruiting to really take off. NT, DE, MLB, OT, and QB. We do that its on bama!

I keep hearing from the media that LSU can't realistically take the sec back in the next 3 to 4 years which I find absurd. One lucky break at QB, our front starts really dominating and we get 1 or 2 #1 draft picks at OT and our recruiting at those positions will be positively altered. LSU can actually get it done without any of these things happening but if it does O will be taking full advantage of it.

Maybe I'm spoiled by the speedy kids we've been putting on the field, but this kid doesn't appear very quick or explosive, although he does seem fairly strong. Anyone see him play in the Mobile area? Maybe we're thinking we put a few pounds on the kid and make him a legit 3-4 end ?

{ I trust the coaches in putting an acceptable offer out on someone, I'm just displaying my recruiting-nerd curiosity. }

We play 4 DE/OLB types at a time. Take a bunch every year. Key, Neal, Bower & Divinity all play together.

Agreed 100 percent.

I know Coach O is a beast on the D line recruiting and loves to stack the position, but the O line is just as important, and we need balance in numbers from a quality and quantity standpoint. I hope Tommie Robinson is as much a beast on offensive recruiting as raymond and O are on the defensive side...
