I know of Zeigler, but I want to get several quotes from some good companies.

Not sure where you're located, but I've heard really good things about Foster's Tree Care in Springfield

I'm in Abita Springs, I'll check them out to see if they come this far.

I've used Gordon's several times and been happy. Price is negotiable somewhat and they leave your yard spotless.

I used Dennis Prine with Prine's a few months ago
Totally satisfied with his work

Just got a quote for 10 average size pines, top them and drop them slow, so as not to damage any other trees, haul them off, grind the stumps, haul off grindings, for $3900. Does that sound like a good price? While that's a buttload of money equivalent to a Gheenoe, I feel that's a pretty fair price, but I have no idea. Gathering more quotes.

Used Cannon about ten years ago, they were great to deal with. My current tree service is me and a chainsaw so no current help to you but Nary Cannon was a good guy to deal with years ago.

Yeah, all 10 of my trees are within falling distance of the house, so no way I'm trying that on my own. Plus, we have a good bit of young hardwoods, so want to pay someone to top them and drop them strategically to protect as much as possible.

I'd say they're around 24" in diameter, give or take. Haven't measured them. 60'-80' high. Spindly tops. None of them have a very large canopy.

I know didn't mean to imply that, I live on a farm now so I drop trees all the time as I have no neighbors to worry with.
