The reason marijuana has remained illegal is due to large alcohol, pharmaceutical, and tobacco companies lobbying against its legalization. Not to mention, its also a large portion of the profit for Central American Drug Cartels. Marijuana is a much healthier, cheaper, and less addictive alternative than most prescription pain medications. Which is the exact reason so many special interest groups seek to keep it criminalized.

I don't advocate the use of any mind alternating substances outside of medical purposes, but the legalization of weed is undoubtedly a superior alternative to consistent deadly cartel violence, mass incarceration of the innocent, and a pain killer dug epidemic.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions says good people don't smoke weed, but the truth is that good people don't try to control others lives. That is not the American way.

Congress has banned the DOJ from using federal laws to prosecute medical marjuana users.

DOJ can still prosecute rec users.

Looks like Congress is telling Sessions to speak to the hand. The U.S. Congress favors such use for marijuana users.

Can we just legalize it fully already? People like Sessions need to just get the frick out of the way and let it happen. Marijuana has been proven multiple times to be less harmful and addictive then alcohol or cigarettes and has a shite ton of medical benefits. The fact that it is still listed as Schedule I just shows asinine the propaganda against pot is.
