How many people know what the hell a 16.0 or 18.8 is? How many millions of viewers were watching?

LeBron haters will not like this but LeBron is on the same level of a Tiger or a Jordan in terms of drawing power. The NBA Finals will continue to get monster ratings as long as LeBron appears in the NBA Finals. It doesn't matter who the opponent is.

Based on tweets, ~24 million.
This series will probably beat last year's average viewers per game, despite not having a Game 6 or 7 to boost the average. That's pretty damn impressive.
They're going to get ~100MM viewers through 5 games, which is more than 2008 Boston/LA got in 6 games.

I hope you don't get offended by this, but you're out of touch with modern sports.

FWIW, 100 million viewers through 5 games tops last year's World Series, which had 96.5 million through 5 games.

I believe that number basically equates to what percentage of households were tuned in. A game's overall rating is what it averaged at various measurements throughout the entire broadcast.
16-18 is phenomenal for any sporting event not called the Super Bowl

the 16 is an estimate to how many households with a TV were watching the game
the 18 is the estimate for how many total televisions were watching the game
