I got a newsflash for you. stealing $1000 worth of stuff is a FelONY, every state and will get you some serious jail time in a lot of states. Some states, it's just $300 to get into the "big time", too. 30k, in 2000, just from inflation, is 60k in today's money. stealing 60 k will definitely get you a 5 year prison sentence, no problem.

Forbes While I think the tactic was a huge mistake, play you've been led to believe. nefarious political It was poorly conceived and It was a broadening of previously used tracking tactics. the Fast and Furious campaign was not the mismanaged. Every time that administration made a mistake you nutballs jumped to the conclusion that it was a nefarious, liberal conspiracy to undermine the US. Remember Jade Helm, Obama's the Antichrist, they're coming for our guns, birtherism, Sandy Hook was a government conspiracy? The left did it to Bush. If you get off the reservation you might be less tribal.
I know all the theories; and I always compare them to common-sense scenarios.
My valid, common-sense question re their "tactical mistake" - in your opinion, is WHY was such a tactic that was sure to create bloody havoc amongst relative innocents...was imagined in the first place? If this question can not be answered...then the premise of fighting against a NON-EXISTENT Cartel, cross-border, gun-running enterprise...goes away. And then, what replaces it? And why would Holder go to the mat to the degree that he was legitimately held in Contempt of Congress.

Well...I didn't buy into any of that...but I did predict that you'd likely "deflect, obfuscate...". Oh well; believe what you will. Perception becomes reality. That is why wars are fought.
The Egalitarian Marxist Barack Obama was/is dangerous in ways that a relatively, politically-simplistic Trump has not even yet imagined.
I'm done.

Love is a strong word to apply to any politician. Both Obama and the Clintons have serious political flaws. On the balance though, I prefer them to Trump.
Why libs come on here and try to act like they're some sort of intellectual moderate, I'll never get. Just be yourself, we know what you are, you aren't swaying any votes, just come out of the fuking closet already.

bullshite she was far more of a pragmatist than Howard Roark and would have loved Trump given the other alternatives

The Obama administration didn't imagine it. If you read the article, or have researched similar straw purchase scenarios, I think you'd see that. Again, it was a poorly conceived broadening of the tactic.

NON-EXISTENT Cartel
I may have missed something, but I hope you're not implying that the drug cartels in Mexico are non-existent.

For, probably, similar reasons that Trump will not end up testifying before the House, Senate or Mueller, despite his rooster preening for the media.
As I mentioned earlier, Obama was not without political flaws. That's one of the big ones to me. There was a lot of talk about transparency during the first campaign, and there was little progress made in that direction.

I'm not claiming to be anything, but you're welcome to ascribe whatever label you'd like. You're not really consequential to me. That being said I don't wish anybody here ill. We just happen to disagree is all, and I like playing devil's advocate.

A few things, do you think Bill and Hillary personally oversaw the packing of Whitehouse furniture?
Do you think they knew for sure what items had been gifted them personally and what had been gifted to the Whitehouse? Because the items in dispute were gifts received during their time in the Whitehouse.
You do understand that once the error was discovered, the Clintons returned the gifts that weren't designated for them personally?
All that doesn't matter anyway, though, because the news organization that scooped the story was the Washington Post, and they're fake news. Right?

Trump is against free trade huh? Please explain that. And she would never be against his America First rhetoric, but I doubt you have read The Virtue of Selfishness so of course you wouldn't know that.

you are responsible for what your hirelings do. If your tax preparer makes an error, does HE do the time for the crime? no, he doesn't. YOU sign that tax form,so it's YOUR responsibility. Why are you supporting a fvcking THIEF? There's been many other cases of her and Bill's crimes, dipstick

Thanks for addressing only one point of the post I made. You're doing your best. Kudos.
Was it you that accused me of deflection and called me a POS and scum? Oh well.

Also, I've already acknowledged that the Clintons are less than pure politically.
You brought up a defensible scenario though, and I defended it. Bring up another scenario and I'll see if I can defend it. This is fun.
Oh wait...I want to play you this time.
Trump steals from cancer kids, Trump steals from charities that donate paintings the be auctioned, Trump steals from contractors after they've completed work, Trump cons people into crappy seminars and calls it a university.
Ok, go. Defend and I'll see if I can prosecute like you.

I haven't read the nonfiction works, but isn't Trump exactly what is described as the antagonist industrialists in Atlas Shrugged? That being, a mogul that has achieved success, not by great innovation, superior production techniques, substantive, creative goods, but by superficial branding and dishonesty marketing.
Exactly.

Turns out I've got to go for a while, but if you want to continue the fun as I've proposed I'll check back in later.

Or you can read a short book by Mises: The Anti-Capitalist Mentality. Tells you all you need to know why people hate capitalism and how someone would want to move towards socialism based on...you know...muh feels and muh entitlement.
