I can't be sure. Last year was bad because of the flood but the year before (the 3rd year of doing this event) we had about 400-500 or so.

That's terrible. Prayers for them.

So sorry to hear this.
Exactly. When you think about it the survival instinct is the greatest urge there is. What kind of hell is that person going through to give up.

Oh man, that's terrible news. I can only imagine how difficult that must be for Zach and the rest of his family to deal with. Its not just the death of a loved one, but how he died that is a lingering question that there are often few real answers for. Thoughts and prayers for Zach and the rest of his family.

Prayers sent from Bama. Whether you are a believer or not this is worth a moment to think about a friend or loved one who you think might be in trouble. Pick up the phone and call them. Could mean a lot.
Couldn't agree more. Talk saves lives!! If anyone is interested, check out your local chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. A lot of good work is being done there. They just donated $4.6m to suicide and mental health research.

There's a suicide walk in Gonzales the same weekend as the Ole Miss game. My father helps organize this with AFSP. Would love for more people to come and support the cause as well as remember the loved onces we lost to suicide.
I'm trying to help my dad get this moved to BR so it can gain more support. Other cities have a larger event with more support. Would love to have one of the biggest in the country. This is such a huge issue that many people don't understand.
I work with AFSP as well. These walks are the main source of fundraising for AFSP. AFSP is an awesome organization doing great things.

That's the organization my dad is apart of. He's on the board for our chapter. I'd ask anyone to check it out. Especially if you have lost someone to suicide.
