he should've been saying there were no facts to show how much humans are contributing to global warming.
Which there isn't.
Right. And there is never going to be.
There is no way to prove that humans are 100% or even 50% the cause of global warming. But we can look at the literal tons of data and draw pretty good conclusions based on that.

is a guy that founded TWC, even though having no scientific background, supposed to be an authority on the climate?
So you're saying that all these techno youngins without college degrees but yet are worth millions don't know what they speak of either?

Correct. Data indicates that global temperatures have been much higher than they currently are previously and also CO2 levels were much lower then. The causing for these elevated temperatures are unknown and have yet to be discounted from influencing current climate changes.
Data indicates what most likely caused it before humans is causing it again now, not humans in any significant manner.

Are you talking turn of the century or way earlier? Because all of those causes are not unknown.

Well that isn't true at all. Most of the data for earlier warming periods is credited to the sun, low plant life, etc. But the sun as been cooling for several decades now. So...

Look up all the young guys out there starting up these tech companies. They are worth millions, if not billions, and they don't have a paper certifying them as experts in their field either. They just have results as to what they know. Of course a debatable subject such as GW is two sided but the guy with TWC can still know what he's talking about.

How much of your personal earnings and savings did you contribute to global warming research last year?

Ice age is ending on Mars as the planet begins to heat up. Either mankind is to blame due to those damn rovers we sent there or perhaps it's due to solar activity.
I'll wait for scientific consensus before rendering an opinion.

But they at least have some form of evidence that they know what they are talking about, as they have successful businesses in their field of expertise.

In theory, yes, he could. But I don't see any evidence of him being an expert on the subject. He is a journalist and a businessman. Not a scientist.

I would love to read this study. Please link.
Because if its the one that I believe you are referencing, that is not the conclusion from the actual study.

It's amazing what humans have done in 180 years to a 4,000,000,000 year old rock. We are so important. The earth is so fragile. Hope the earth can survive another 20 years at this pace. Gonna be a nail biter.

Totally misleading title. Should be "Get off my lawn! Weather Channel founder gets his five minutes of fame."

$250-300 in unpaid labor/time.
Not much.. but then again I do environmental work 40 hours a week too

Exactly, just think of the advancements we'll see to counter any impact we've had. In 20 years liberals will be saying we're cleaning the environment too fast.

Man did he own that debate or what.

They will literally slant anything to try and discredit someone. Truth be damned.

Well you can't make up data for one.
