Why is John Alario siding with New Orleans communists on monuments? :banghead:

So, y'all, I've noticed something, and it's got me a little confused. I'm sure everyone here followed the colossal sh!tstorm in New Orleans over the monuments and I'm sure that everyone is familiar with House Bill 71, which would require a local vote before a monument can be taken down.
The Louisiana GOP endorsed House Bill 71 on May 20th and and you can sure as hell bet that his constituents in District 8 (Westwego, Marrero, Barataria, Lafitte, parts of Plaquemines Parish) want it to pass.
So why did Alario send it to a committee headed by left-wing democrats who were guaranteed to kill it? Why has he done that with EVERY bill designed to save our history?
Starting tomorrow, you can call him (or e-mail him tonight) to find out (and if you're from the towns mentioned above, make sure to tell him). His Westwego office's phone number is (504) 340-2221. You can call him while he's at the Senate at 225-342-2040. Send him an e-mail at alarioj@legis.la.gov
So call him, ask him what's up with him siding with radical communists like Malcolm Suber (see the link at the end of my post), and ask him who why he's so dead set on killing our history. Seriously. He's been complaining that no one from his district calls him, so give him a call!
And while you're at it, there are some other senators still sitting on the fence about saving our history.
Might want to give them a (relatively) polite call and send them an e-mail. You can call any of them using the main Senate number at 225-342-2040 or call their district offices.

I don't use the snowflake insult because it's played out. I do, however, have a problem with violent extremists being allowed to run rampant while an incompetent failure of a mayor rams through his agenda to distract people from what a huge failure he is.
1 time is 1 time too many. Hence the need for HB 71.

I always heard Alario is the reason the west bank expressway isn't elevated all the way to the Huey. He didn't want to kill Westwego. So he sucks dick in my book.

Id be willing to bet Alario is doing that in exchange for a favor. As most corrupt Louisiana politicians.

Mitch and his group were upset about an old statue. Maybe they are the snowflakes in this scenario, to be so traumatized by statues that have been there for decades and most locals never gave second thought to.

Those statues will be "lost" within the next 2-5 years. Something will "accidentally" happen to them.... a paperwork "snafu" No way Landrieu or the council allows those statues out . Landrieu is a lying POS on that account
If they returned the name Tivoli Place, I have no beef with that.

and republicans took him in with open arms and then Bobby Jindal gave him the power back in his second term...more republican winning in this state.

He couldn't give a shite about the SJWs and their crusade to bring the monuments down.
All Alario cares about is keeping the Governor happy no matter what political party he's from. Alario was a sycophant for Bobby Jindal and now he's a sycophant for JBE. He's a sycophant for the Governor no matter who it is because he gets to wet his beak at the legislative trough and get more pork and plush benefits. Running the statehouse is a lifestyle to him and the only way he's coming out of it is in a pine box.
Alario killed the bill to protect JBE from having to make a tough veto and choosing between the republicans who elected him and the far left fringe of the state of Louisiana.
He shouldn't even be called RINO as that's an insult to them, he's a thug piece of shite that is everything that's wrong with Louisiana politics.
