I don't want blair gone, I feel like people thought that I didn't want him here. I enjoy him I really do I was just wondering if some of you wanted a tiger fan from birth doing the radio

You're entitled to your opinion...but you're wrong.

How much more real can you get than his call of Watson's 3 run shot against Texas Southern yesterday? Dude is already a fan after 1 year. I don't give a shite whether he was watching a Tigers game 10 years ago or not. He's passionate, and the games are enjoyable to listen to.

I liked Jim, but damn, some times the games were just difficult to listen to.

Ive yet to hear a baseball game he did. From what I remember of him at GSU, he was much better in bases than foots.

Who still listens to games on the radio grandpa?

People who are driving in their cars?

People who have the game on in the background, while they are working on something, like changing the brakes or oil?

I mean, Saturdays are usually a person's day off, and a day to get things done, even though there are football games going on.

Call me old if you will, but for cupcake games, there's been a lot of times I'd rather listen to a good announcer on the radio, than watch/listen to the crappy announcers on ESPN. And when I have just the weekend off, I'd rather do some car work on a Saturday so I have a day to chill (and maybe run back to the parts store if something goes wrong), than wait until Sunday afternoon.

Do you think Hawthorn was a "real" tiger fan when they hired him?

And what's the definition of a "real Tiger fan", do you mean someone with a thick Cajun accent? If so, then NO, I don't want to try to listen to that on the radio

I concur. Mostly watch games in person or on TV but have listened in spurts on radio and at times I'm like, what is going on?

Thompson makes it worse. He talks when he shouldn't and constantly interrupts Blair. Shut up color guy!

He is perfect for baseball, but a little dry and unexciting for football
