VVD

My dyslexic self read this as Van der Vaart (VDV) and had a major feeling of nostalgia.

It's smart business. They want the guy but can't buy him outright due to ffp. Exploiting loopholes should be praised, it's Nick Sabanesque

How? They're strengthening their squad within the rules. They can't force Monaco or anyone else to sell. They reached an agreement. It's thinking outside the box. I have no love for PSG but it's a brilliant strategy

Brilliant doesn't mean it isn't shady

how on earth is this shady? it's right out there in the open. it is clearly an attempt to get around FFP, but it is clearly legal, or it wouldn't be happening. it's good business (if we are willing to accept the fact that $1B, or however much he's going to eventually cost, is an alright price).

just like some of the other posters on here, i have no love for PSG, but i recognize that they are doing what they can within the rules to strengthen their squad how they see fit.

Liverpool have made a revised bid of £74million — plus Divock Origi on loan — for Monaco forward Thomas Lemar.

The French champions had rejected Liverpool's bid on Monday night as they push to maximise the 21-year-old's price.

The deal is understood to be £46m up front with a further £28m next summer

Origi showed the potential

We understand Manchester City are keen on a simple cash-only deal for Alexis Sanchez.

Arsenal, however, are considering a deal which involves Sanchez heading for Manchester City, with Raheem Sterling heading for north London. Interestingly, we understand that the deal would also include Arsenal paying a fee to City as a makeweight.

So, to confirm, that's Arsenal paying City a fee for Sterling, with Sanchez also going to City.
frick off with that.

Also, Chelsea have signed Eden Hazard’s brother, Kylian Hazard.

I don't know why Chelsea won't at least try to spend all this cash sitting around on Sanchez. Hazard-Morata-Sanchez up front would be unplayable.
