Funny the arresting officer said he smelled an odor associated with alcoholic beverages????
no he didn't. the police report is available online. The arresting officer reported no odors according to his report

he has done this to himself and my only concern is that he was lucky enough to not have killed someone driving like that.....
From the article:

The police had to wake up Tiger Woods
How do you or anyone being overly critical definitively know that he wasn't driving home when meds from his recent surgery kicked and he pulled over to sleep it off?

Arresting officer said he smelled alcohol on Tiger's breath
incorrect

Its another entirely to have an unexpected reaction to medication.
unfortunately, intent is not a defense to a DUI

But Tiger refused breath test apparently and that's an arresting offense right there.
also incorrect. Tiger didn't refuse any tests.

He's a junkie on pain pills
or maybe he just underwent back surgery and took the medication he was prescribed but shouldn't have been driving

What the "I" is, is still in question. Whether he purposefully drove under the influence or not is still in question.
the "I" stands for "influence" not "intent." DUI is a strict liability offense. Intent is not an element the state has to prove. It's irrelevant

Apparently no one read the arrest report.

Why was Tiger freaking Woods arrested if he blew a .000. Cops are dicks. Just give him a ride home.

Because he admitted to have taken pain medications that may cause impairment. He also failed his field sobriety test. He was released a couple of hours after he was booked. The cops were not being dicks in this situation. They found a guy that appeared to be intoxicated passed out with the car running at 3 in the morning. The passed out driver then admitted to being unaware of his surroundings, failed a field sobriety test, and admitted to taking pain medications. That's more than enough probable cause for a DUI

ESPN saying that Jupiter Police will release the dash cam footage later this week. That's gonna be interesting
Based on the police report write-up Tiger was very slurred, sloppy, sleepy and out of it. Gonna be a cringeworthy video for me.

When I interned at the DA's office in law school, one of my favorite parts of my day were watching dash cam videos. Watching the dash cam videos during their transport to jail was even better

Well then that original article on ESPN was full of lies.
It said Tiger refused breath test at the scene. And smelled of alcohol.

well the police report has been released. many of the initial reports were wrong
LINK
Tiger provided a breath test, a urine sample, and performed field sobriety tests. If you'll also notice, he did not sign the implied consent form, meaning that he complied with all requests
Posted on 5/30/17 at 2:10 pm to lsufball19
the initial reports might spin this back into tiger's favor and make the cops just look like assholes

funny how people downvote a post out of ignorance. sorry if you don't agree with the law
quote:
316.193 Driving under the influence; penalties.—
(1) A person is guilty of the offense of driving under the influence and is subject to punishment as provided in subsection (2) if the person is driving or in actual physical control of a vehicle within this state and:
(a) The person is under the influence of alcoholic beverages, any chemical substance set forth in s. 877.111, or any substance controlled under chapter 893, when affected to the extent that the person’s normal faculties are impaired;
(b) The person has a blood-alcohol level of 0.08 or more grams of alcohol per 100 milliliters of blood; or
(c) The person has a breath-alcohol level of 0.08 or more grams of alcohol per 210 liters of breath.
Now if one of you downvoters will please point me to the intent factor in the statute. TIA

Cops will definitely lie to say that he had probable cause. I'm sure he assumed by Tigers slurred speech that had been drinking so he put it in the report. I'm not throwing stones at Tiger because I'm not a hypocrite but I know for a fact that cops lie about shite like that. They'll pull you over when they see you leave a bar saying you swerved or didn't use a blinker, stuff like that happens everywhere and every night.

With the facts in the report, Tiger is in good shape for his lawyers to present a strong defense. My guess is he pleads this down to a reckless driving or public intox. However, Tiger is more worried about the court of public opinion in this situation. I don't think he's too worried about the legal ramifications of a DUI.

So the cops will look just like Tiger.
