Ya, it sucks having to sit in timeout with your kid. Its like I'm in timeout as well.
But the dude needs to learn whaylt timeout is and why it sucks.
He actually sat in timeout today for 3 minutes by himself. He's only 2.
My comment about disciplining earlier in this thread wasnt necessarily about spanking or anything. Just plain discipline, like not hitting or biting or scratching. It will happen, but fix that crap at the beginning.

Encourage (don't force) him to play as many youth sports as possible. It molds the man he'll become. No matter how well or how poorly he plays always tell him "I love you and I love to watch you play."

Lucky you. I have a boy and girl who turn 11 and 3 this summer respectively. Girl gets a spanking at least once a week, normally for talking back or deliberately disobeying. I haven't had to spank the boy in years.

Secure the chest of drawers to the wall, especially if you have twin boys, they like to climb it like a ladder. We were very lucky that day.

Set the boundaries early and stick to them. Never let your kid be "that kid" in public. Sometimes you got to chew the grandparents asses out because they can be very counter productive. As a father it is to our job to mold productive members of society who can think for themselves.
