i think my favorite quote is: "narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it."
when most of you pass through the pearly gates, jesus will say 'i never knew you'
because you're shitty people that don't embody what he taught

quote:Not exactly, but I do agree with you in principle, though. There are a lot of people who profess to be Christians because they walked an isle and said a prayer when they were younger, or because they were baptized as infants, or because they think they are good people and go to church on occasion, but these same people then live lawless lives, indulging in whatever sinful desires they have with no regard to what God has commanded of His people.
and when most of you pass through the pearly gates, jesus will say 'i never knew you'
because you're shitty people that don't embody what he taught
The Bible is clear that only those who have a saving faith and trust in Jesus Christ as their savior from the penalty their sins deserve will be saved. Those with such saving faith will be sanctified (set apart for a holy purpose by God by the continual removal of sin from the body) throughout their lives and love and appreciate God's law and become conformed to the image of Christ in obedience.
What this looks like is a life of repentance of sin, understanding that our sin is offensive to God and detrimental to our relationships with Him and with others. Those who do not show fruits of the spirit (which manifest themselves in how we act) are not displaying evidence of a true, saving faith. Faith without works is dead, and that means if you have true faith, it will be evidenced by your obedience to the law which is manifested through "good works". Conversely, if you do not do good works, it is an evidence that you do not have saving faith.
There will be a lot of people who called on the name of the Lord while they were alive who will be cast into darkness, separated from God, on the day of judgment.

A) I see you are replying to yourself here--i guess that's your version of the categorical imperative.
B) your quote displays a common complete misconception of the Gospel.

All that work you do for Muslim refugees is absolutely wonderful. Keep it up.

What you're doing here is textbook "judging." It's literally the object of the verse "judge not lest you be judged." Solid work.

Late to the thread, but this seems somewhat judgmental on your part.
