Miles and miles of incredible farmland and a huge operation. I like seeing it on my way to Grand Isle a few times per year.

Anyone know the owners or anything about it? Just curious...

(they did frick up the old beautiful house with the oak grove towards the western end. It's now connected to an office building and parking lot. What a shame). Not sure if this is owned by same folks but I always assumed so.

Probably owned by the Boudreaux's, Thibodeaux's or Richard's...

There's miles and miles of farmland on both sides of the bayou from DVille all the way to Lockport. Lot of farmers, and why LA is the #2 sugar cane producing state in the country.

Yea but I'm referring to one massive outfit not a series of different farms.

It is owned by different people. There is a Duplantis that is involved with leasing a lot of it to different farmers, not sure if he owns it. I believe he owns Raceland Sugars.

That old plantation house was bought and turned into a business. There are also quite a few squares of soybeans in that area now.

There's a few commercially owned sugar farms as well.

It's the parent company of the Domino plant in Chalmette.

I also think South Coast Gas owns a lot of it in the Raceland area.

FWIW, the house is relatively new. Built when I was a kid, so mid 90's about.

It still is a great course! For whatever reason, although closed, they have been keeping it up
