I just finished book three (Cursor's Fury) of Jim Butcher's Codex Alera, and will be starting book four "Captain's Fury" later this evening.
(Not a bad fantasy series, and made even better after I read that he wrote it because he was challenged that no one could write a good series based off of a lame idea. He said he could do it with two lame ideas. The challenger gave him Pokemon and the Lost Roman Legion as the lame ideas.)

just got done with the first book in the dark tower series. I'm on the second book. Both are pretty enjoyable
