ETH has very smart, strong, and communicative developers (and prodigy leader) and that seems to unite the entire community.

BTC def seems to be more toxic

I have a 1947 wheat penny. It is worn down to where it might actually be 1941, but it is hard to tell.

Can the casino say that chip is now worth $50?

i'm talking about it in terms of currency, not investment

the $500 that chip is worth is affected by regular inflation. $500 in 1980 is a lot different than $500 in 2017. same concept

So how do you

1. you can buy and hold - go to coinbase, for example, and deposit

2. you can buy and sell - go to coinbase, then transfer your coins to poloniex (for example) and trade (like the stock market)

I haven't done the math, but we're talking average power prices for most homeowners. Now if you have access to super cheap power, then it would probably be worth it.

A guy I know ended up somehow renting this little studio space in the back of another building. Power is included in the rent. The entire space is filled with bitcoin mining rigs

yeah this is my philosophy

a year ago BTC was $450

right now it's right at $2200

if you had invested the $6k or so (for about 2 rigs, not even counting power, storage, etc) a year ago, you'd have $30k right now

as i understand LTC was a BTC clone, which reached a $1B market cap and then collapsed.

it still trades with high volume daily, however.

it seems like BTC is the Gold and LTC is the silver
