They can get them on assault, drunk in public, and public indecensy without hurting responsibile patrons. This stinks of a money/power grab.

Baton Rouge was booming big time up until the Sterling stuff, cuts to TOPS, and the flood last summer. The only question is whether the boom will continue despite the problems.

Booming is a subjective opinion and hyperbole too. The Sterling stuff is pretty much over and TOPS and flood are no longer hot button issues. I was bullish about BR from 2006-2011 or so. Not so much these days.

This is absolutely not a money grab I can 100 assure you of that, this is the first effort to improve 3rd street and the easiest thing to do since the ordinance alaready exsisted. To answer the previous question I'm not a cop or city employee of any kind, I'm a property owner/ manager downtown and want only the best for all. The promoted parties at 1913 and the office that have been going on recently are the problem, very few issues prior to these parties changing the whole make up of the crowd and introducing large numbers of trouble makers. Ask around about what happened when a club in Lafayette started doing the same thing over there a few years ago, it was the kiss of death. Please don't think I'm compairing BR to Lafayette or want to be like Lafayette etc I know where that will go, I'm just trying to give an example that some may be aware of

I bounced out end of '12 and consider it pretty good choice, even tho I still miss the place

I really have no idea what BR is going to look like 10+ years, probably the same it is now with more inspection sticker checkpoints and useless St George petitions

Sorry that bothers you, i really don't give a frick, I was typing fast as I was walking up the stairs to get on a plane and if spell check didnt catch it went. I think my point was made despite the spelling and grammar police coming out the woodwork.

Couldn't they just send the ATC in and threaten John Delgado with liquor
License violations if he doesn't knock it off with those parties that are causing issues? He owns Club 1913, City Bar, Huey's, Draft House, and I think the Office as well. That seems a lot better than cracking down on every responsible person walking around with a beer they bought at the booth at Live After 5.

I didn't think I was breaking down the wall to something we didn't know.

Once you get near a certain point, such as entering those tricenarian years, downtown just kinda...sucks.

It's not all bad. Couple game nights can be fun too.

I thought it was turning into less than desirable area according to some posters on here.

Some posters on this board see half a dozen black people somewhere and assume it's gone to the riff raff. Truth is they are just scared of black people. It's pathetic.

The truth is the stats don't lie. A half dozen African Americans wearing sagging pants and white tees in downtown br are 1000x more likely to be involved in a robbery or shooting than some dude named chad in an oxford shirt, chubbies, and sperrys.

Chad don't roll like that. He dresses up when he goes out. No one's afraid of black men who don't dress like hooligans. People fear white people who dress like criminals too. If you don't want to be mistaken for a criminal, don't wear a criminal's uniform. The same is true for most things in life. You dress for the job you want or for the people you want to be associated with.

Can't believe someone downvited you. Couples game nights are a depressing reminder of what you don't do anymore.

Sounds like downtown isn't what it was less than 10 years ago anyway with all the douche bars popping up, so I'll just remember the good times and draw a black card...biggest blackest dick...lmfao this game is nutzzzz
