BR Area Service for Honda Motorcycles?

I have a 2002 VT 750 and I'm looking for someone to perform maintenance on it that knows what the hell they are doing.
Brought my bike into Friendly and some idiot did a coolant flush for me and replaced it with the wrong coolant mix. I knew more about my bike specs than service manager did.
Any suggestions?

Have you tried asking someone else that has an old Honda?
Also, adjusting valves, changing oil, etc. are not that hard. YouTube will guide you through.
Good luck.

RAD Cycles on Nicholson - between LSU and downtown.

Thanks for tip on RAD...had to bring bike in for some things I didn't feel comfortable doing so I figured I'd let them do coolant and brake flush while it was there.
You are right though...most maintenance on those bikes isn't too difficult.
And I don't know anybody else with an old Honda...lol.

...I'm curious. What was wrong?

Bike specs call for 50/50 mix and Tech put in 60/40.
Will make it more likely my engine will run hot on hot summer days.
Water cools better than antifreeze.

You have the ratio backwards. 60% water. 40% coolant.
Having said that, yes. Water does cool better than coolant. But let's say you filled your bike with 100% coolant. Your thermostat would still keep it at the exact same temp.
I run 80/20 in my 1000. Water to coolant.
I would NEVER run 50 50 in south Louisiana in the summer. But to be clear, it wouldn't make a damned bit of difference if I did.

Rando is right, the Honda coolant system is engineered for worse(r)-cases than South Louisiana summers.
Everything Honda puts their hand to is done well, in my experience.

GN Gonzales was the first thing in my mind

I've always read that the first number of a prediluted mix is the antifreeze %.
Where you get that shite from?

The front of my bottles of yamacool I dilute. And the hondacool I dump in the 150r.
Unless something changed on them. They were always the opposite of cars.

I stand corrected. New bottles are cold weather rated. 60/40.
Even still, does not matter.
I've run waterless EVANS coolant in engines. That shite boils at 375.

I was just pissed that I went to a Honda "authorized" service shop and the guy put in Yamacool 60/40 instead of my spec Pro Honda 50/50.
The last thing I need is better winter protection in BR. He just made my bike more likely to overheat this summer.
If it was 60/40 water to antifreeze I wouldn't have been bothered as much.
Sounds like you think it won't matter much anyway.

Nah, I know it won't matter.
Shoot an infrared thermometer at the heads before you flush it again.
I really wouldn't flush it.
If that's what they are putting in mudriding atvs, an old honda cruiser won't care.
Only thing I won't ever do is run straight water.
Coolant keeps the seals lubed and stops the impeller from rusting.

Thanks to all for the input.

I had Friendly install exhaust tips only because I couldn't get the nut off. They installed them upside down. Were too stupid to realize that they just needed switching. Morons.
