If at least one yankee doesn't die during this process, I'm gonna be just a little bit disappointed.

So is it coming down as intact as possible or is it going to be destroyed? I haven't kept up with this that much

In Warsaw Stalin built the largest and tallest building in the city called he palace of culture. The Polish people have it bc of what it stands for, the subjugation and enslavement by the Soviets of Poland. But they chose to leave it up, not as a money making tourist attraction, but to remember what happened so it doesn't happen again. Every time they see it they remember what Stalin did and every generation coming up gets to see it and learn about the history of it.

With the education system in NOLA in 10 years kids will not know who Lee was.

I'm going to break into the warehouse overnight, take a piss on that statue and post it here on the OT. Not because I care about the statue issue, just to piss off you statue snowflakes.

Not sure if it's already been mentioned, but I'll be damned if the "L" name on the hurricane list is Lee this year. I don't want that many to happen obviously, but wouldn't that be something....

We shouldn't be surprised. New Orleans is going to get exponentially worse as the years go. The fruits of productive citizens moving, blacks coming into political power, school quality collapsing, the black family breaking down, the illegitimate birthdate skyrocketing, uncontrolled crime, and the amount of the third world like citizens in the city are showing itself.
The younger generation to middle age adults are now living in what they deem as a normal New Orleans. It's been 3 generations since New Orleans ran like a pre white flight city. They think this is normal.
Every generation will get exponentially worse than the last. That stinks for those who love the city. But face it. Detroits reality is the future for New Orleans. No avoiding it.

I'm just glad Mitch is solidifying his place in history as a POS pandering douche, the entire landrieu family is going down like the titanic, financial supporters are getting as far away as possible and he will always be remembered as the final nail in the coffin.
