Why can't they make a remote like that for the FireTV box? My wife hates the FireTV interface and configurable buttons for launching apps like NetFlix and PSVue would be fantastic.

Looking at that picture and got very confused. The cursor that is highlighting is on a row titled "On Now"?!?! Does Amazon have a Live TV that I've never heard of where it shows all shows that are on currently and how far along in the show they are?

Cause that's definitely what that image is portraying...

I'm interested to see how this will interact with U-verse/Cox/Direct UI or if this is only available for over-the-air tv.

Same.
On their product description it states:

But that leaves them in a conundrum. If it only interacts with say a cable box, what's the point of this TV?
If it can combine my Netflix / Hulu / Amazon / HBOGo, etc accounts and it shows me all of that one the "Main Screen" like that image is displaying - then that would be outstandingly amazing. I don't think that's what it does though.

Typical Amazon trying to enter spaces where they don't belong with subpar product. That is a horrible tv.

And save at least $250 in the process.

It looks to me like that TV is just streaming the CBS app and those are the live shows on CBS ...I don't believe it could search your digital cable guide or have any interaction but that's what I gathered quickly
