Atilla the Hun (gave us Gerard Butler (as an Asian))
Guiliver's Travels
IT (indidnt likenit because it shite on the book but I understand im in the minority)
20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (such an odd, quirky, dark adaption)
The Creature (omg this was great for a 7 YO)
The Odessey(I've watched this more than any, Armand Asante!)
The Stand (never seen it but knownits popular)

TNT went on a little run in the late 90's with some biblical miniseries that were outstanding.

In particular,

Moses:

and Samson and Delilah:

were solid.

They also had Pirates of Silicon Valley:

which I also enjoyed.

70's weren't too shabby with:

Rich Man Poor Man

Roots

Centennial

Oh, and if it qualifies as a mini series:

I, Claudius

If you're looking for a good mini series, check out The Bible on Netflix. It aired on History channel. No matter what you believe, the show is amazing. It was 10 hours when aired with commercials over 5 episodes.
