Don't feel like reading all the comments, but this line is important.

quote:

Students will also participate in the main commencement ceremony.

So they are having an additional graduation it seems. It's all still ridiculous...but just a little less so I think.

Wow. I reviewed that website you linked and it's a political mouthpiece.

Why don't people do just a bit of digging before they link obvious bullshite sites?

The 1st line of the article says Harvard is set to host this, but as you keep reading, it doesn't really sound like this is being done by Harvard, it sounds like more of an independent/informal thing.

Which is it?

They should do this at state universities too so white people can hear their child's name as they are called.

"Harvard’s institutional foundation is in direct conflict with the needs of black students,” Ms. Woods said."

it was founded 400 years ago, i'm sure it's institutional foundation is in sync with the shite that happened 400 years ago.

"There is a legacy of slavery, epistemic racism and colonization at Harvard, which was an institution founded to train rising imperialist leaders. This is a history that we are reclaiming"

what?! by hosting a separate graduation? this makes no sense to me at all.
